Organiser's Description
24 and 12 hour endurance swim.
Options for continous swim, or 30 minute swim with 30 minutes break.
Swim cintinuously for 12 or 24 hours.
Swim for 30 minutes, or 1 mile (53 lengths), every hour for 12 or 24 hours.
Relay options available.

24 hour swim start: 8:00am
12 hour daytime swim start: 8:30am
12 hour nighttime swim start: 8:30pm
Cost:
24 hour continous swim £150, +£25 per person for relay.
24 hour 30-30 swim £100, +£25 per person for relay.
12 hour continuous swim £100, +£20 per person for relay.
12 hour 30-30 swim £60, +£20 per person for relay.
To enter as a relay team, sign up as single participant for your chosen event, then add on extra swimmers on the sign up form.

24-hour: Continuous
Starting at 8:00am, swim continuously for 24 hours, making for the ultimate test of swimming endurance.
Relay available - teams of 2 or 3 taking turns for a full 24 hours of continuous swimming. Relay teams can chose their own change over time or distances within their team. To sign up for a relay, use the same sign up link and simply select the option on the booking form to add additional people.
4 lane speeds (similar to our normal lane swim set-up). Pro swimmer or have a go hero, you can swim your own speed.
Participants will be provided with;
- Food - evening BBQ as the sun sets, and morning bacon rolls on completion,
- Hot drinks - 1 free hot drink from cafe per swimmer, unlimited instant coffee and tea available,
- Hot water for hot water bottles,
- Event completion mememto,
- Changing rooms,
- Toilet facilities,
- Water safety & First aid,
- Warming tent.
Additional Info
- Participants must be at least 13 years old on day of event. Participants under 16 years old must be accompanied on site by a responsible adult 16+.
- Strictly no alcohol.
- Pool temperature will be around 25c
- You may wear any swim suit (skins), or wetsuit. You may not be naked.
- Swim hats and ear plugs are permitted, as are some training aids including pull buoys and kick boards.
- Fins/flippers, hand paddles, snorkels, and propulsive devices of any kind are not permitted
- You may swim any stroke or combination of strokes.
- Swimmers must be fully respectful of each other, encouraging to all in and out of the water
- Glass and barbeques are not permitted at the Lido. Gas cylinders are permitted, but only small butane canisters for stoves. Large patio gas bottles are not permitted.
- The use of gas stoves or kettles is permitted. These must be outside of any tent or structure and away from fences, grass, shrubbery and poolside.
- A limited number of small shelter tents are permitted. Gazebos and large tents are not permitted.
- Children must be supervised by parents at all times and kept away from the water.
- All swimmers take part knowing that they take full responsibility for their actions, have satisfied themselves of their fitness, have taken all reasonable steps to prepare for the challenge and understand that neither the organisers nor anyone connected with the event, accept responsibility for swimmer health and well-being, before, during or after the event. The organisers will however, take all reasonable risk factors into account in order to maintain a well-run and safe environment for you to undertake the event.
- Numbers in the challenge are strictly limited. The organisers maintain the right to limit places and refuse entry for safety and organisational reasons.
