Angels Running Club 10K Road Race
Angels 10k is Part of the Gloucestershire AAA County Road Race series it attracts lots of runners from local clubs. This year the race will also include the Gloucestershire Road Race County Championships.
This years race will be held on Sunday, 7th April 2019. It will follow the route established in 2012, starting and finishing at the Woodpeckers Cricket Club in Ashleworth village. An exciting and undulating course, runners enjoy views of the Malverns and river Severn.
What - 10k Run
Where - Woodpeckers Cricket Club, Ashleworth, Gloucestershire, GL19 4JJ.
When - Sunday, 7th April 2019.
Race registration opens from 8:30am. Race briefing 9.30am. Race start 10.00am.
Cost - £14 (plus 60p surcharge for online entry). £12 for affiliated club runners.
10k run over undulating, quiet country lanes. Based from Woodpeckers Cricket Club facilities include toilets, changing rooms and refreshments.
Also included will be race numbers, fully marked course, mid-course drink station. Tea and cake will be available post race. Prizes for top male and top female finishers in all age categories, plus team prizes.
Race Licence tbc. Held under UKA rules. There will be mile markers. Open roads - not traffic free. Listening devices must not be worn. No dogs. Due to the nature of the road surface and hilly course we are unable to accommodate wheelchair racers or those wishing to run with pushchairs.
This race also forms part of the 2017 Gloucestershire AAA Road Race Series. To be eligible for entry into this club runners must wear club vests.
Gloucestershire Championship eligibility : Athletes must have been born in Gloucestershire, resident in the county for at least 9 months or serving in the county in H.M. Forces for at least 9 months to be eligible to compete in the Gloucestershire championships and to receive county medals. Eligibility does not require the runner to be a member of an affiliated club.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners in age categories for Men and Ladies. These categories shall be Senior and 10 year categories from V40 for men and V35 for ladies.
We regret that we are not able to offer refunds on entries for this event. However we are happy to facilitate a transfer to another runner. Please email the Race Director before 7pm on Sunday 31st March 2019.
In the unlikely event that the race cannot be run on the published date. All entrants will automatically be entered in the rescheduled race or offered a place in our 2020 race.
