Welcome to the Alford Mini Bull Run – a fun run for preschool and primary age children in Aberdeenshire, organised on behalf of the Alford Primary Parent Council and Alford Running Club.
Registration beside the Flower Meadow – the registration tent and routes are all signposted on the day. The trails take place in the Flower Meadow at Haughton Park (beside the Trim Track and river). The routes allow for spectators to be present around the course.
The Alford Mini Bull Run comprises of four fun runs of differing lengths from preschool age, and 4 years old to 12 year olds.
Race timings are as follows:
New this year! "The Toddle" a 300m walk/run for parents, preschoolers must accompany adults! 10.00 start

Children may run with parents, however adults do not receive a goody bag at the finish (sorry parents!). This is not a timed event, only a fun run!
All races £5 via entry central which includes a medal and goody bag. There are no overall prizes for winners.
Please note pre on-line entry only and NO entries will be accepted on the day. There are no refunds.
On-line Entries close Friday 2oth September 2019.
By entering this race, you acknowledge the run is a genuine trail race with natural hazards. Every effort will be made to highlight the hazards but parents and children should be aware of the inherent risk of running in a natural environment.
All children must be accompanied by an adult on the day (but not necessarily in the race!).
All proceeds go to Alford Primary Parent Council, to purchase sports equipment for the Primary School and to help continue a children’s running club at the school (“The Bullets”).
Registration will commence from 9.15am and close 15 minutes before the race time. Numbers will be issued at registration, please ensure you write your emergency contact details on the reverse.
Health and Safety
Clear route maps will be posted for all routes.
All routes are extensively sign posted and well marshalled. Safety is paramount and we expect runners to follow the advice of marshals at all times. The route is a trail race and underfoot will contain a variety of hazards including uneven surfaces including tree roots and stones. Please be aware of this prior to entry.
Please respect that strictly no dogs are allowed on the race routes.
Car parking is available at the Haughton Park carparks and at the Alford Village Carpark. Please note that car parking is limited in the Haughton Park so leave enough time to find a space or consider car sharing. There will be no parking at the caravan site which is private, nor along Montgarrie Road. Runners local to Alford might consider walking to the venue.
Registration is at the Flower Meadow and will be clearly signposted on the day.
Please note there is 5-10minute walk from the Haughton Park car parks to the routes (by the Trim Track and Flower Meadow down by the river), and a 10-15 minute walk from the village carpark. There will be no access to the routes from Montgarrie Road entrance, only through the Park itself.
There is no parking beside the routes. Disabled entrants will given be access via the gate from Montgarrie Road at the bridge. Please advise the organisers early if this is the case.
Toilet facilities are available at two sites in Haughton Park (namely a block beside each car park). The toilet blocks at the caravan park are not available for public use as they are private. Please note THERE ARE NO TOILETS BESIDE THE ROUTES.
Please ensure that all rubbish is collected and deposited in one of the many bins that will be provided.
