Please give yourself plenty of time to walk down from the car parks to the registration area.
Health and Safety
Clear route maps will be posted for all routes.
All routes are extensively sign posted and well marshalled. Safety is paramount and we expect runners to follow the advice of marshals at all times. The route is a trail race and underfoot will contain a variety of hazards including uneven surfaces including tree roots and stones. Please be aware of this prior to entry.
Please respect that strictly no dogs are allowed on the race routes.
Car parking is available at the Haughton Park carparks and at the Alford Village Carpark. Please note that car parking is limited in the Haughton Park so leave enough time to find a space or consider car sharing. There will be no parking at the caravan site which is private, nor along Montgarrie Road. Runners local to Alford might consider walking to the venue.
Registration is in the field beside the Flower Meadow and will be clearly signposted on the day.
Please note there is 5-10minute walk from the Haughton Park car parks to the routes (the field beside the Trim Track and Flower Meadow, down by the river), and a 10-15 minute walk from the village carpark. There will be no access to the routes from Montgarrie Road entrance, only through the Park itself.
There is no parking beside the routes. Disabled entrants will given be access via the gate from Montgarrie Road at the bridge. Please advise the organisers early if this is the case.
Toilet facilities are available at two sites in Haughton Park (namely a block beside each car park). The toilet blocks at the caravan park are not available for public use as they are private. Please note THERE ARE NO TOILETS BESIDE THE ROUTES.
Please ensure that all rubbish is collected and deposited in one of the many bins that will be provided.
