Over 18's only. (Non-TRA/England Athletic members pay an additional £2 levi.)  

This is our 20th anniversay year of organising events, so the merch' and medals will reflect the milestone!

10km social hike or a 10k trail run option available.  

The 2026 charity of choice is BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION.  Please also donate directly to them once it is announced.  (A £2 donation of your entry fee will also be paid to the charity.)

Parking in the public car-park opposite the Black Bull and in the pub car-park.  However, we would encourage participants to walk/cycle/bus to the location as spaces are limited.  There is a great cycle route through Admirals Park from the train station and city centre that brings you close by (the venue is located at the top of "the hill" on the Chelmsford Central parkrun course.)

Registration will open at 18:00 in the beer garden.  This is where you can collect your race numbers, event T-shirts etc.  This will also be the start and finish is location. 

The start format will be different in 2026.

Hike is a start is before 18:10.  Runners can set off between 18:15 and 18:30hrs, just please come and see us to let us know when you decide to set off and let us know when you get back.  

The race start sheet will be emailed to you in the last week of July (on whatever date that I get a day off to do it!)

The route is narrative and Strava based.

(The shorter run/walk option is non-competitive)

All starters will get one of our 20th anniversary T-shirt (please sign up before August to be sure of the right size!) and all finishers get a medal, a free beverage.

You can leave your bags with us in the beer garden at your own risk.

Full results will be on our website.  New 10K route equals new record to be set!
