This is our 20th anniversay year of organising events, so the merch' and medals will reflect the milestone!

15km social hike and a 15 mile trail run option available.

The 2026 charity of choice is TBC at this early stage.  Please also donate directly to them once it is announced.  (A £2 donation of your entry fee will also be paid to the charity.)

Both options are a great training opportunities for those taking part in the Chelmsford Marathon events later in the year etc. And being trails, our event offer a different surfaces and environments to run on and experience,.....you may even see deer, badgers and of course squirrels!

Parking in the public car-park opposite the Black Bull and in the pub car-park.  However, we would encourage participants to walk/cycle/bus to the location as spaces are limited.  There is a great cycle route through Admirals Park from the train station and city centre that brings you close by (the venue is located at the top of "the hill" on the Chelmsford Central parkrun course.)

Registration will open at 12:05 in the beer garden.  This is where you can collect your race numbers, water, event T-shirts etc.  This will also be the start and finish is location. 

The start format will be different in 2026.

Hike is a mass start at around 12:25.  Runners can set off between 12:35 and 13:00hrs, just please come and see us to let us know when you decide to set off and let us know when you get back.  

The race start sheet will be emailed to you in the last week of July (on whatever date that I get a day off to do it!)

Awards for the fastest M & F in the longer run will be a free entry to the next edition of the event. 

(The shorter run/walk option is non-competitive)

All starters will get a Vest or T-shirt (style TBC) and all finishers get a medal, a free beverage and 10% off of their food bill when you hand in your race number to the bar staff.

You can leave your bags with us in the beer garden at your own risk.
