Women Run Strong - Yoga workshop
19 Jan 19
As runners we work our bodies quite hard. We build muscle and strength but sometimes at the expense of flexibility. I have always found that yoga complements my running and at our autumn weekend in Glencoe we enjoyed the teaching of a yoga teacher who developed a session just for us. It was so good I have invited Sara, The Contented Yogini, to come to Edinburgh to give us a workshop which focuses on all the "hard to reach" tight places.
You will leave the workshop feeling fully stretched, calm and energised. Sara will give us a short takeaway routine for practise at home.
As one teacher said "Yoga and running are the Yin and Yang of fitness. "They are not opposing forces, but complementary opposites that interact within a greater whole. Put simply, yoga can fill in where running falls short."
This workshop will be suitable for all levels, even those who have never practised yoga before.
