Welford 10k, 2.5k & Fun Runs
Sunday 19th May 2019
UK Athletics Multi Terrain Licence Number TBC
This is our sixth 10k, 2.5k and Fun Run event. With the kind permission of Mr & Mrs Puxley we are once again using part of their private and beautiful Welford Estate. The 2.5k and 10k start and finish at the same point, and is ideal for runners and spectators alike. We have a big grass bank overlooking the race start/finish point, which we use as a viewing platform, helping us cheer the runners on. We have a road closure so the route is vehicle free (except for emergency vehicles) and marshalled appropriately. Run under UK Athletics rules. Registration is based in one of the barns near the start. There are toilets, unsecured bag drop area and tasty hot & cold food and drinks. Free nearby parking. Thanks goes to our all our sponsors who help cover our set up costs for the event.
The day starts with the childrens 500m run for Reception to Yr 4 children.
Then the 2.5k open to 9 year olds to 99!
With the final run being the 10k for 16 year olds and above.
