Tour of Clydeside

The Tour of Clydeside is low-key event where the challenge is to complete 5 races over various distances and terrain over 5 consecutive nights.
A prize-giving for the Tour will be held after the final race at Cartha Queen's Park Club House.
There will be no mementos. Your reward will be the satisfaction of having completed the Tour.
Please note that if you want to enter the whole Tour of Clydeside you need to use this online form. The Entry Fee is £20 (or £30 if not affiliated to SAL) UP TO END JUNE, thereafter £25 (£35 non SAL) until entries close at on 29th July 2017.
NOTE THERE ARE NO LATE ENTRIES AND NO ENTRY TO THE SERIES ON RACE DAY. Entry to individual races is possible up to 24 hours before the start of the race. There is no entry on the night of the races.

Tour Prologue 7k Trail Race (Sun 30 July) - Bellahouston Park, Paisley Rd West, Glasgow G41 5BW
Lochwinnoch 8k mixed terrain race (Mon 31 July) - Castle Semple Loch, Lochwinnoch PA12 4EA
Garscube 7k trail race (Tues 1 Aug) - Dawsholm Park, Dalsholm Road, Glasgow G20 0TB
Canal Bank 8k (Wed 2 Aug) - Whitecrook Street, Clydebank G81 1QF
Bella Belter 10k road race (Thur 3 Aug) - Cartha Queens Park RFC, Pollok Country Park, Dumbreck Road, Glasgow G41 4SN
Further details on the location of each race and facilities can be found on the separate pages of EntryCentral. Information will be also be available on the Tour of Clydeside Facebook pages.
Each race is also an open event and thus not all runners will be participants in the Tour.
Start time: The opening race starts at 3pm. The other 4 races start at 7.30pm with details on the course available from 7pm. Opportunities to warm up in off-road spaces are available at the start area for each of the races.
Race Number: your race number can be collected from about 2.15pm at Bellahouston Park prior to the start of the first race. This number MUST be retained for all races and worn on your top/vest. Please note that this may not correspond to the number allocated by EntryCentral so that you will be identifiable as a Tour entrant.
Apart from the Bella Belter there are no showers or changing facilities available. Cups of water are available at the end of each race!
Results: will be posted on our Facebook site as soon as possible after each race, and copies will be posted at the start area of each subsequent night so that you can track your own accumulated performance and others around you.
Prizes:There are no prizes for the individual races but a wide range of prizes for the Tour, based on the accumulated positions in each of the 5 races. Presentation of the prizes, available across different age groups will be made on the Thursday evening.
The Tour of Clydeside Races:
Tour Prologue 7k Trail Race (Sun) - held within Bellahouston Park, with start at 3pm. The start and finish will be adjacent to Mosspark Boulevard.
Lochwinnoch 8k mixed terrain race (Mon) : a fast, flat and traffic-free route along the cycle path and waterfront paths at Castle Semple Country Park.
Dawsholm 7k trail race (Tues) - Dawsholm Park : held within this Glasgow park, the route is a couple of laps on mainly soft trails in the wooded surroundings. No technical sections, but some gentle climbs and descents.
Canal Bank 8k (Wed) - Play Drome, Clydebank : an out and back race along the towpath of the Forth & Clyde canal with no major ascents. Traffic free and on tarmac/hardcore paths throughout.
Bella Belter 10k road race (Thurs) - Pollok Country Park, Glasgow : a classic distance and race to finish the week. Two laps within the park. This traditionally provides an exciting finale to the Tour and attracts many entrants in its own right.
