Waiting List

A waiting list will be in operation if the race is full. In previous years, we have had a large waiting list but have managed it actively to ensure that as many people get to race as possible.

Transfers

In the event that you need to transfer your entry with someone else, please review the below:

  • If you are a signed-up user of Entry Central, you should be able to do this yourself on the website before 21st January 2023.

  • If not, or that date has passed:

    • Email the Race Secretary with the details of who you want to swap your place with. This individual should already be on the waiting list.

    • If you don't know who to transfer your place to, please still let the Race Secretary know. They will then transfer your place to someone from your running club who are on the waiting list. If there is no one from your club on the waiting list, they will select the first person on the waiting list.

  • For both of the manual transfers made through the Race Secretary, the "new" individual will also need to pay the race entry fee. This ensures that they are committed to attending the race. The "original" individual will not receive a refund of their original fee, but this will be included within our charitable donation (see below).

The Course

The race is mainly on roads around Churchdown and Staverton. There is a short section on a footpath across farmland used for cattle. We work closely with the farmer and for the 2023 race we will endeavour to ensure that he manages the cattle such that they are kept away from the footpath during the race.

A route map guide is available here.

Driving to the event

Please note that the Bamfurlong Lane Bridge will be closed and there will be a diversion in operation.

Water

There will be one water station on the route but runners are requested to provide their own water bottles/containers.  There will also be water provided at the finish.

Privacy Notice

Entries

The actual submission data is stored in the database of the Entry Central site and is emailed directly to CLC Striders running club. This information is then used for the purposes of holding a successful race and will be shared with partners delivering services for that race.

Chip Timing

To provide the best possible race experience, we use chip timing at the event. This means that you will be supplied a chip tag as well as your race number. The chip tags need to be tucked underneath your shoe laces and velcro'd to make a loop. Examples will be provided at registration. Please keep the tags in a loop so they are not flattened. They will transmit information when you cross the finish line, providing you with your finish time. We use LUSH Race Timing to provide this service and they will be given your Name, Date of Birth and UKA details to be able to provide the results.

The Results

The results of the race will be published on our website and submitted to UKA's "Power of 10" site. This information will include your name, age category, position, bib number, time and club affiliation.

Medical Support

To ensure safety during the race, we organise a medical team to be available for the duration. In the event of any medical emergency, at the request of the medical team, we will provide the medics with your personal details and your emergency contact details. We use Local Event Medics for our medical support at the race.

Who we share your data with

Apart from any services and companies listed above, we do not share any data captured with any other third parties.

How long we retain your data

If you enter the race, we will hold your entry form data for a period of six months after the date of the race.

For anyone who completes the race, we will hold your results data indefinitely.

What rights you have over your data

You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you at any time.
