We are excited to invite you to join us in the historic seaside town of St Andrews for our annual Spring Triathlon! New this year is our novice event which we are running alongside the sprint distance event, as a friendly race aimed at those wanting a taste of their first triathlon. Races are open to all, from complete beginners up to seasoned triathletes.

St Andrews Sprint Triathlon 2022

The sprint distance triathlon consists of a Swim/Cycle/Run format over a distance of 750m/26km/5km.

Relay teams of 2 or 3 are welcome and can enter at the same price. Please put your name under one person and tick if you are entering as a team on the questionnaire. Please make sure only ONE team member participates per leg of the race. 

This race is open to all aged 15 and over with racers under 18 needing explicit parental consent that can be emailed to us at: triathlon@st-andrews.ac.uk . This is a non drafting race. Additional measures will be implemented due to COVID-19 if necessary.

St Andrews Novice Triathlon 2022

The race will also be a Swim/Cycle/Run format with a shorter course of 400m/14km/2.5km 

This race is open to all aged 15 and over with racers under 18 needing explicit parental consent that can be emailed to us at triathlon@st-andrews.ac.uk . This is a non drafting race. Additional measures will be implemented due to COVID-19 if necesssary.

Estimated Swim Times

You will be asked to enter an estimate of your swim time when signing up for this event. Please ensure this time is as accurate as possible, to ensure you are entered into the correct wave. If you think your estimated swim time is likely to change closer to the event, we advise that you create an Entry Central account which will allow you to change your time until the event closing date.

Gender Inclusion Policy

The University of St Andrews Traithlon Club is committed to maintaining inclusivity in sport. We welcome non-binary athletes at our races, but please be aware that Triathlon as a sport has not got to a stage where there is a separate race for non-binary athletes and these athletes will therefore be unable to place in either the male or female categories. Refund Policy 

At the organiser's discretion, refunds (minus credit card processing fees) will be issued to any competitor who withdraws before 13.03.2022. After this date, withdrawals will be refunded if and only if the competitors place can be filled from a waiting list. No refunds will be issued after 26.03.2022.

If the race is cancelled for any reason, 75% of entries will be refunded to competitors.
