Trail Busters Splash & Dash Beach Race - West Sands, St Andrews
Trail Busters Splash & Dash Beach Race will be held on Saturday 24th July. The race will start at 6.30pm
The race will be raising funds for the charity EPILEPSY SCOTLAND
VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE ENTERING THE RACE. Failure to adhere to these guidelines & race rules will result in disqualification and a ban from entering future races.

Please be respectful and considerate to all competitors, race officials, volunteers and members of the general public.
Please be advised that under no circumstances should you attend this event if you:
- Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
- Have been overseas to a country on the quarantine list or exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
- Have COVID-19 symptoms (self-isolate for 7 days) or are feeling unwell.
- Have been told to self-isolate as part of the contact tracing measures in place.
Under NO circumstances whatsoever should you run with another person's bib number. This is a strict requirement for the Track & Trace system.
The event is planned to have wave starts up to a maximum of 100 people in each wave. Start times will be planned according to pre-entries. Enough time will be planned between wave starts to ensure physical distancing. A starting list will be drawn up to inform entrants of where and when to wait for their wave start. This schedule will be emailed to participants in advance of the day.
Toilets will be available but there will be a limited capacity at any one time and a queuing system will be in operation. Please be prepared for this. All attendees must use the hand sanitiser located at the toilets before entering and after exiting the toilets.
The race organiser is unable to provide any water or drinks. Entrants must bring their own hydration/nutrition.
BIB NUMBER COLLECTION & MEDALS
Please keep 2 metres apart whilst waiting in the queue to collect your bib number. Medals will be handed out when you collect your bib number.
There will be no changing facilities. Please come ready to run.
There will be no baggage storage. Entrants should leave any belongings in their own vehicles or make other arrangements.
DURING THE RACE
No drafting (running directly behind the runner in front). Physical distancing must always be maintained during the race. If overtaking or gaining on another runner then please run wide.
No spitting or snot rockets.
No litter dropping.
At the end of the race, finishers should disperse quickly away from the finish line. Do not sit or lie down within or near the finish area. Do not congregate around the finish area. Move to an open space and leave the event site as soon as possible following the conclusion of your run.
RACE RESULTS & PRIZES
There will be no prize-giving or results available on the day of the race. Results will be posted online the following day and prizes will be delivered or posted to all award winners as soon as practical after the race.
By signing up to enter this race you are confirming that you have read all the Covid-19 safety guidelines and rules of competition and that you agree with them.
RACE ROUTE - This two-lap race will be held on the magnificent West Sands Beach at St Andrews. The race distance is approximately 4.5 miles. The surface will be mostly on firm compact sand. You will be delighted to know that at the end of each lap we have included a nice cooling water dip for your pleasure! You will get more than your feet wet so remember to bring a change of clothing!

RACE AWARDS - 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall males and females. Also 1st Over 40, 1st Over 50 & 1st over 60 male and female.

LIMITED TO 100 RUNNERS - PRE-ENTRY ONLY - SORRY NO REFUNDS OR DEFERRALS. - We will however allow number transfers up until 7 days before the date of the race. All transfers should be arranged between the two runners involved. You must then notify the Race Organiser of the full contact details of the transferred runner.

Our events are insured and permitted by the Governing Body Association of Running Clubs and are held Under ARC Rules.
