The 2nd annual Skull Mountain Trail Race Series consists of a series of races held throughout the summer months on the paths & trails within the beautiful surroundings of Balbirnie Park, Markinch.
Race distance will be approx. 4 - 5 miles. The race routes will be slightly varied for each race but you can expect a few undulations including the brand-new Skull Mountain. You might even get your feet wet!
ALL ENTRANTS will receive one of our AWESOME SKULL MOUNTAIN COLLECTORS EDITION MEDALS and a pair of bestest quality RUNNING SOCKS (not white!) worth £5.99 RRP.
Race 1 - Sunday 7th May
Race 2 - Sunday 2nd July
Race 3 - Sunday 6th August
Race 4 - Sunday 3rd September
All races start at 11.00am within the grounds of Balbirnie Park.
Extensive Age Category Series Awards (based on cumulative time throughout the Series) and loads of Spot Prizes to be won. As well as first 3 overall Male & Female we also have Series prizes for 1st Male & Female in the following age categories - Under 20, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ Please note: There are no individual race prizes

PLEASE NOTE: Strictly NO PARKING within Balbirnie Park. Car parking is available in the car park just south of the hall at the primary school and in the surrounding streets.
We rely on the goodwill of Balbirnie Park to put on these events so please help us by sticking to the rules.
LIMITED TO 150 RUNNERS. PRE-ENTRY ONLY - SORRY NO REFUNDS OR DEFERRALS. We will however allow number transfers up until 7 days before the date of the race. All transfer details should be arranged between the runners involved before notifying the Race Organiser of any changes.
BEFORE ENTERING: Occasionally we may have to alter the race route and distance due to forestry or other essential maintenance work. If any of the races are cancelled due to severe weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances then we will reschedule that race to a later date.
ENTRY FEES: £20 affiliated / £22 non-affiliated (this includes entry to the 2 remaining races)
Our events are insured and permitted by the Governing Body Association of Running Clubs and are held Under ARC Rules.
