The wonderful thing about triathlon is that whether its your first or 30th; there is always something to learn and improve on. Not all of us have the time or funds to travel abroad to train. Besides, that’s not reflective of race conditions here in Scotland.

That’s where our training weekends in Edinburgh come in. We are offering a one stop shop with training on all 4 disciplines (the fourth is transition by the way, not laundry!), injury prevention and expert talks to whet your appetite and plan your 2017 ‘A’ race to perfection.

Are you thinking of entering, or have already entered IRONMAN 70.3 Edinburgh?

Would you like to do a led recce of the IRONMAN 70.3 Edinburgh bike and run routes?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then our triathlon training weekends are just the thing for you!

Over the weekends we will be training on the IRONMAN Edinburgh routes but everyone is welcome as we have shorter versions of each which we will cater for (NB. We would suggest that you have a road bike, are able to cycle ~50 miles and run 4miles as a minimum).

  • Supported sea swim and swimming coaching
  • Cycle and run on the Edinburgh 70.3 route (different speeds and distances catered for)
  • Strength and conditioning workshop
  • Transition training
  • Expert talks on
    • race preparation and strategy
    • run, bike and swim efficiency
    • nutrition
  • Lunch and dinners provided
  • Q & A’s with the coaches
  • Opportunity to book 1-2-1 sessions with experts
  • Connect and train with fellow athletes

Activities will begin Friday late afternoon and finish Sunday mid afternoon. (Though we understand if you can’t get to us until Saturday morning and will ensure you don’t miss too much of the action!)

The weekends will be led by John, an IRONMAN Certified Coach and supported by other multiple IRONMAN finishers, a Scottish Triathlon Champion and qualified nutritionist. All experts supporting the event are qualified to do so and fully insured.

We want  to keep these small and informal, so spaces are limited. The price for 2017 has been held at £150 and includes meals. Dates available are:

  • 19-21st May
  • 2-4th June
  • 9-11th June

Bike hire can be organised for an additional £50 (Carbon, 105)
