Scottish Para Come & Tri Series 2017

 

We are delighted to be working with Scottish Disability Sport and a number of local partners to deliver a series of three Para Come and Tri events during the 2017 triathlon season!

The event is a 'come and try' event designed for athletes with a disability to try the sport of triathlon in a fun, supported and relaxed environment.  Each course will be on a car free route contained within the grounds of venue where there is plenty of space for athlete support and spectators.  Each participant will receive a medal on completion of the race as a race day memento.

All events are open to athletes aged 8 and above.

 

Scottish Para Come & Tri Series 2017:

  • East Para Come & Tri - 21st May 2017 - Armadale Academy
  • North Para Come & Tri - 26th August 2017 - Banff Swimming Pool (Banff Academy)
  • West Para Come & Tri - 17th September 2017 - Blantyre Leisure Centre

Equipment

Participants will require to bring their own equipment but we will provide bikes for those who need them, including tandems, hand bikes, trikes, scooters and stationary bikes.  Support sourcing a race guide will also be provided for visually impaired athletes.

Additional Support

Additional support will be available on the day to help athletes take part and complete the triathlon.  Please provide details of your additional support needs with your application.

 

Payment

You can pay for your place at the event when you enter online but should you wish to pay by cheque, please select the "pay by cheque" option and send all completed cheques together with your name and the race you wish to enter to Calum at Triathlon Scotland, Gannochy Sports Centre, University of Stirling, Stirling, FK9 4LA.  Cheques must be payable to the Scottish Triathlon Association Ltd.

 

Cancellation & Exchange Policy

In the unfortunate event that you need to withdraw from the race we will offer a 50% refund until 14 days prior to the race. After that no refund will be payable but you will be offered the option of deferring your place to the 2018 edition of the event.

East Para Come & Tri

Triathlon Scotland and partners (Scottish Disability Sport, Lothian Disability Sport, West Lothian Council and GRC & West Lothian Triathlon Clubs) are pleased to host a Disability Triathlon event at Armadale Academy on Sunday 21st May 2017. This event will be the first in a series of three events hosted across Scotland in 2017.

The event is a 'come and try' event designed for athletes with a disability to try the sport of triathlon in a fun, supported and relaxed environment.  The course is all contained on the grounds of Armadale Academy where there is plenty of space for athlete support and spectators.  Each participant will receive a medal on completion of the race as a race day memento.

  • ‘Sprint Distance’ Start – 12noon

North Para Come & Tri

Triathlon Scotland are delighted to be hosting a Para Come & Tri event in partnership with Scottish Disability Sport and Aberdeenshire Council at Banff Swimming Pool on Saturday 26th August 2017.

The event is a 'come and try' event designed for athletes with a disability to try the sport of triathlon in a fun, supported and relaxed environment.  The course is all contained on the grounds of Banff Academy where there is plenty of space for athlete support and spectators.  Each participant will receive a medal on completion of the race as a race day memento.

Distances

There will be 3 race distances to choose from:

Final distances are to be confirmed but they will be similar to our other Come & Tri events which use the following:

The event is a 'come and try' event designed for athletes with a disability to try the sport of triathlon in a fun, supported and relaxed environment.  The course is all contained on the grounds of Blantyre Leisure Centre and the adjacent park where there is plenty of space for athlete support and spectators.  Each participant will receive a medal on completion of the race as a race day memento.

There are 3 race distances to choose from:
