Rattray Blair Half Marathon 2017 (Sunday 4th June)

We are proud to present this new event to the running calendar in 2017. The Rattray Blair Half Marathon promises to be one of the most scenic half marathon races in Scotland. All profits will be split between 3 local charities; Cornhill Macmillan Support Group, Dundee Branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Children's Ward at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

The Race

The undulating and scenic course starts and finishes near Rattray Primary School and the good news is that the last 2 miles is mainly downhill. The course is mainly on quiet roads with a very small section of rough track.


Please note that entries close on 28th May 2017. Entry for walkers and runners is £20. Note that there is a discount of £2 for entrants affiliated to Scottish Athletics.

All finishers will receive a quality T-shirt and a bespoke medal.


Parking will be available at Rattray Primary School, High Street, Rattray, PH10 7DG.


Registration for walkers and runners will open at 8.15am at the Community Connect Centre beside Rattray Primary School. Walkers and runners will receive their race number at registration. All entrants must register before the event starts.


The start and finish will be in the vicinity of the Community Connect Centre beside Rattray Primary School.

Walkers will start at 9am. Runners will start at 10.30am. Please be at the start area in good time.

Changing Facilities

Male and female changing and shower facilities, as well as toilets, will be available in the Community Connect Centre beside Rattray Primary School.

Water Stations

There will be 4 Water stations on the course.

Runners and walkers must keep to the left hand side of the road unless otherwise directed. All runners and walkers must wear their race number on the front of their clothing. Please use four safety pins (spare pins available at registration) to assist in identification of number at the finish line.

First aid cover will be available.

Post Race Refreshments

Post race food and drinks will be available for all walkers and runners in the Community Connect Centre beside Rattray Primary School.

Prize Giving Presentation

This will take place at approximately 2pm in the Community Connect Centre beside Rattray Primary School.
