Princetown Fell Race November 20th 2022

Seniors commence 1030am

A new race to the Dartmoor fell racing calender and a 12km ish run over open moorland visiting numerous tors in the local area.

Registration is at the Dartmoor Brewery 

The route is as follows:

Start at the back of the Plume of Feathers, then to Cramber Tor, Black Tor, Leeden Tor, Kings Tor, and North Hessary Tor before a finsih at the brewery.

There will be marshalls on the Tors and at the road crossing but the route is not marked.

Participants will benefit from being competent at navigating in all potential Dartmoor weather conditions, but not essential.

Essential Kit to be carried/worn: 

this may be relaxed as per the conditions on the day but be prepared to run with the below kit

• Waterproof whole body cover (with taped seams and integrated attached hood) 
• Hat 
• Gloves
• Map 
• Compass 
• Whistle 
• Emergency food

We would prefer runners to enter online in order to guarantee a place.

Entry fee is £6 (£1 discount for Fell Running Association members).   

Numbers are limited to 150.  Online entry closes 19th November 2022.  Entries are not transferrable. 

We reserve the right to abandon or shorten the course on the day in the event of bad weather.  Please wear adequate clothing.  Prize giving for the senior event will be at 12.30pm.

Toilet facilities, and car parking will be available but there is a charge for both.  Please bring your own water bottle, as there are no water stops on route, other than the streams etc...
