Organiser's Description

Mells Scenic 7

The Mells Scenic 7 is back for 2021! The 7ish mile trail race will take place on Sun 26 Sep 2021.

The route comprises of approximately 5 miles of footpath/bridleway and 2 miles of quiet country lanes. Starting and finishing in the historic village of Mells, near Frome and featuring the beautiful East Somerset countryside. The course will be marked and marshalled.

The race will start at 1100 from the Mells Cricket Club (parking will be available). The Cricket Club entrance can be found off Longfield, Mells, BA11 3PZ. Toilets will be available and there is an area where bags can be left. Race numbers will be issued on the day and there will be a race briefing at 1045. After the race, tea and cakes will be on sale. Each runner who finishes the race will recieve a small memento.

Due to short on-road sections and narrow paths in places dogs are not allowed.

Headphones can be worn, but runners are to be aware of traffic on the small road sections.

Please note this course can be slippery and muddy in places.

Route details can be found on the Frome Running Club website and all results will be posted here within a few days of the race. (
