Lee Valley Aquathlon
The Lee Valley Aquathlon series returns for a sixth season in 2018. Whether you're a novice or experienced triathlete, challenge yourself to one of our aquathlon events. Taking place within Lee Valley Regional Park, the races will run from May to September.
Starting at Lee Valley White Water Centre, the monthly event involves two race distances of either a 250m or 500m open water swim in the center’s lake followed by a 3k or 5.5k run along a scenic route around River Lee Country Park.
Race 1: SWIM - 250m : RUN - 3km
Race 2: SWIM - 500m : RUN - 5.5km
Dates and Times
All events take place at Lee Valley White Water Centre and start at 19:30. Please note the September race will start at 19:00.
Races take place on: 1 May - 5 June - 3 July - 7 August - 4 September
Series scoring system & prize giving
The series scoring system offers you the opportunity to compare your results against others in your age group and add that extra competitive edge right up to the end of the season.
The prize giving ceremony will happen on 4 September in The Terrace Bar & Café at Lee Valley White Water Centre at 20:30. There will be coffee, tea and cake available for all competitors.
Open water swimming
Get some practice in before the big event. We have open water swimming sessions taking place every Monday 19:00 – 20:00 & 20:00 - 21:00 from the 24th of April. To be able to attend these sessions you must have successfully completed our swimming assessment. Call 03000 030 616 for more information and bookings.
Pre-register online or you can register on the day for an additional fee.
Number pick up and on the day registration starts at 18:30, except September's event which will start at 18:00.
- Wetsuits can be hired from the centre for an additional £5
- All participants must be aged 16 or over
