Welcome to the Kinross 10k!
Organised by Kinross High School, the Kinross 10k is held annually in April to raise funds for the school.
The event is open to runners aged 16 or over on the day of the race.
The race is run under UK Athletics Rules and is a scottishathletics permit event.
The race is a popular evening fixture on the calendar, and is expected to fill up before closing day.
The race limit is 300 places, so enter quickly to avoid disappointment. Once they're gone, they're gone! there is no waiting list.
No number swaps.
If the race limit is not reached there will be entries on the night.
Registration opens at 6.00 pm in Loch Leven Community Campus and the race starts in Milnathort at 7.30 pm.
The race starts at 7.30 pm at the foot of Ba' Hill in Milnathort, just down from Orwell Parish Church. This is around 1 mile from registration so allow plenty time to get to the start.
Health and Safety
Clear route maps will be posted at Registration. The route is well signposted, but it is on public roads and farm tracks UKA Rule 240 S5 Forbids the wearing of headphones, for this reason we ask runners to not wear headphones unless medically prescribed. Scottish Athletics do allow bone-conduction head phones. The organisers are being assisted by a number of voluntary marshals. The safety of all is paramount and it is a condition of entry that competitors must follow the instructions of the marshals.
All runners must enter emergency contact details on the back of their number.
Please ensure your number is easily read from the front.
There are toilets and changing facilities at registration.
Car Parking is available at registration, but please car share where possible.
Refreshments will be available back at the campus after the race.
