The Jimmy Irvine Bella 10K takes place in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park on Sunday 13th November 2016 starting at 12pm. The race is under UK Athletics rules and is a Scottish Athletics Permit event. We offer a fast, flat course within the splendid Bellahouston Park with a technical t shirt for all entrants. The race will be chip timed. Registration takes place at Glasgow Club Nethercraigs. Pre entry by Sunday 6th November 2016 with a race limit of 650 entrants. Minimum age for entry is 15. The last three years the event completely sold out in advance of race date so please do not delay entering. Note that there is no entry on the day.

Early Registration Thursday, Friday or Saturday at Achilles Heel
You can pick up your race number from the Glasgow store of our main sponsor Achilles Heel on Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

Registration on Sunday
Registration and changing are at Glasgow Club Nethercraigs (G52 1TQ). This is at 355 Corkerhill Road, Glasgow. Registration opens at 9:30am, and closes at 11:30am. Please check your name on the number boards displayed in the registration hall, and proceed to the queue marked for that number. You will be given a race number to be displayed clearly on your running top (the timing chip is attached to the back of your race number). Allow plenty of time to get to the Glasgow Club and collecting your number as the registration will be busy.
Getting Here and Parking
The post code for Glasgow Club Nethercraigs is G52 1TQ. If coming by car there is parking available in Nethercraigs car parks. On street parking is also available in the streets surrounding Bellahouston Park.
Bellahouston Park is close to the M8. Please use junction 24 (if travelling east), M8 junction 23 (if travelling west), or use M77 junction 1 if coming from the south, or if approaching from the M8 Glasgow City Centre. Trains travel from Central Station to Corkerhill Railway Station, directly opposite Nethercraigs. Please use Traveline Scotland to determine which is the best public transport option for you.
Getting to the Start
The start is 1 mile from Registration at Nethercraigs. Past Corkerhill station on Corkerhill Road,on foot you can cut right onto Mosspark Drive and then follow Bellahouston Drive up to Bellahouston Park. In the park follow the path round from the finish up the hill to the start.
The 10K course is entirely on tarmac paths and pavement within the park and surrounds. The course will be generally flat with the odd incline, but nothing too troubling! Course maps can be seen on the club website at
Although most of the route is within Bellahouston Park, we do run along the pavement of Mosspark Boulevard and therefore the the new rule regarding the wearing of head phones in road races in the 2016-2018 edition of the UKA Rules of Competition will be in force:
"The wearing of headphones, or similar devices, (other than those medically prescribed), is NOT permitted in races on any single carriageway road that is not wholly closed to traffic.
We have a comprehensive prize list awarded for seniors, vets and teams. The prize giving will take place in Bellahouston Park shortly after the end of the race.
