Kids Introduction to Open water workshops (8-15yrs)
With the warmer weather and School Holidays coming soon kids are naturally attracted to water, it is so much fun for young children, but as we know can be potentially dangerous.
At our small group sessions (max 10 participants) swimmers will learn the essential water safety skills that will keep them safe at all times in the great outdoors. An essential life skill!
What will young swimmers learn?
The differences between pool & open water swimming and recognising any dangers that maybe be encountered
What to expect whilst swimming outdoors
How to enter cold water safely
Treading water and floating for safety
Safely swimming with other swimmers
What to do if anxious whilst swimming,
What to expect from the Uswim safety team
If your child is over 8 yrs and they can comfortably swim 50 metres (2 lengths) or more and is confident in deeper water this session is for you.
For this session wetsuits are compulsory and tow floats optional but recommended. If wetsuits required they are availble for hire at the venue (£5 with £10 deposit)

When: Sundays, 11-11.45am (see dates below)
Cost: £15.00 *Includes tuition, swim cap, post-swim hot choc drink.
