DUE TO THE IMPLICATIONS OF THE MOST RECENT ADVICE ON THE COVID-19 SITUATION WE HAVE PUT THE RACES ON HOLD WHILE WE LOOK TO RESHEDULE TO A LATER DATE
The 2020 Dunblane 12 km Road Race is now ON HOLD for entries.
The 2020 Dunblane 2 km Youth Race is also ON HOLD for entries.
Race Day will be SUNDAY 31st MAY 2020
Experience the exciting atmosphere of the Dunblane Road Race.This spectacular running event is a celebration of Dunblane’s sporting achievements and we are inviting people from all over the UK to take part. The day kicks off at 12pm for the Youth 2km race followed by the adults 12km race beginning at 1pm.
Both races finish right at Andy Murray's GOLD POST BOX in Dunblane High Street.
The Race SOLD OUT last year so don't be disappointed and book now.

Dunblane 12km road race takes place on SUNDAY 31ST MAY 2020 @ 1pm
There will be no entry on the day.
The race starts and finishes in Dunblane High Street, close to Andy Murray's Gold Post Box.
Race Numbers can be picked up The Dunblane Centre, Perth Road, Dunblane. The number pick up desks will close at 12.30pm. Please arrive at the race venue in time to collect your race number.
The Course : After exiting High Street the the route heads north along Perth Road through the village of Kinbuck. After crossing the River Allan at Cromlix Bridge (3 miles) it turns left and follows Auchenlay Road back towards Dunblane. After re-entering Dunblane the route follows Doune Road, Springfield Terrace, Sunnyside and back into the High Street, finishing near the Gold Post Box
Toilets : Toilets and shower facilities are available in the Dunblane Centre, and also close to the start are the public toilet at Bridgend and over the railway at Tesco.
Age categories for both male and female are as follows :
Senior - 16 to 39 (under 16s should enter the Youth Race)
Vet - 40 to 49
Supervet - 50 to 59
Vintage - 60 +
Super Vintage - 70 +
Age is age on race day
Safety : The route will be well signposted and marshalled. There will be a pre-race briefing. Please remember that the roads are open to traffic and you are responsible for your own safety for the duration of the event. As per our Scottish Athletics permit headphones are not permitted.
Results : Results will be made available almost immediatley after the race and posted on both this website and Scottish Athletics website. You will be able to obtain a print out of your time, overall position and category position immediately after finishing.
Rules - the event is run under British Athletics rules, available at www.britishathletics.org.uk
Prizes - There will be cash prizes in each category.
Parking - there is ample local parking in and around the town, within easy walking distance of the Dunblane Centre and the race start / finish. If parking in Tesco or Marks & Spencer car parks be aware of the time restrictions.

RACE DAY SUNDAY 31st MAY 2020
The Race will start at 12 midday with a runners briefing at the Railway Station Plaza a few minutes before.
The Youth Race is approximately 2 km long and follows a mixed surface route starting on Dunblane High Street, routing around the Allan Water, over the Faerie Bridge and into Memorial Park, back via Bridgend and finishing near Andy Murray's Gold Post Box. The event will be heavily marshalled and the route clearly marked. Most of the route is off road - there is a small on road section close to the finish which will be closely marshalled.
MINIMUM age on race day is 9 years old. MAXIMUM age for the youth race is 15 years old on race day - anyone 16 or older can enter the 12km race.
Number pick up will be between 10am and 11.30m, at The Dunblane Centre, Stirling Road, FK15 9EY where you will be given your integrated timing chip / race number.
The Race SOLD OUT last year and there is NO ENTRY ON THE DAY so please book early!!
