Organiser's Description

Races are run in age groups u11 (2.0km) u13 (3.2km) u15 (4.8km) u17m u17w  u20w  and Seniors/vets females (all 6.4km) and u20/senior men (9.6km).  The League will allocate you to the correct start group according to your stated date of birth on the application form. All distances are approximate and subject to change to accomodate measures such as extra space in the start area and a longer run to the first 'pinch' point. The rules for age groups are available to view on the Athletics4u website under the Cross Country tab downloads. ( MV65+ may opt to run in the shorter distance Senior Female race or run as M60+ in the longer male race).

The league races are open to runners and teams  from outside Gloucestershire AAA .

Start times for races will be in age order, starting with u11's at 11.30 am and finishing with Senior men and will be advised on Athletics4u website in advance of the fixtures. Some age groups running a similar distance but with small entries will be be combined for running but results will still be published as separate categories. This is also the case for vet categories where an age group results will be published along with age group series standings.

Price: £10 for seniors/masters and £5 for u20 and young  athletes (Price will discount when you enter EA number and further if young Athletes click junior age group question) . There is a £2 surcharge for unattached runners of any age.

The race is run under UK Athletics Rules and is an England Athletics permit event.

‘An entrant shall be deemed to have made him/herself/their self, familiar with, and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules.

 The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from the [date of entry], whether or not the licence holder is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.’


There is no additional fee for entering online. Please note that entry fees are non returnable. There will be no on the day entry this season, entries close at midnight on TUESDAY before the race.


Running numbers will be distributed at the event .  Race Numbers are not exchangeable and no-one will be allowed to run without one. Team competition will be decided only from runners wearing the registered team colours unless previously agreed by the referee.

Numbers MUST be worn on the front and be visible, please avoid covering number at the finish whilst stopping your watch!  Marshals instructions MUST be obeyed at all times.
Timekeepers are busy. DO NOT attempt to interrupt them while they are working. Results will be published on the internet as soon as possible.
