COVID UPDATE: Cotswold Farm Park are committed to helping us to fulfil the fixture and so we are pushing ahead with preparations. To allay fears about potential cancellation we are relaxing the normal no refund policy by offering a refund less half of the handling fee (£9.50/£4.50 refund)) should we need to cancel due to a changes in guidance from government or England Athletics. 

This is the annual championship for athletes connected to Gloucestershire by birth or residency. Additionally First Claim Gloucestershire AAA affiliated club members not meeting residency or birth conditions can still run as 'counting ' team competition entries but not count for individual medals. Full elligibility rules will be posted on the Athletics4u website. Medals will be awaded to elligible runners in all categories.

The races are also open to guest runners but they will not count towards any awards and you should answer 'No' to the additional question . 

We return this year to Cotswold Farm Park, a popular course in previous years. Although the Farm Park will be closed to the public the popular cafe will be open for refreshments and light meals. There will be a large car park with hard standing and full toilet facilities. 

Price: £10 for seniors and £5 for u20 and juniors (Price should discount when you click a junior age group)

This fixture will be Chip Timed (with chip on the back of the running number ). If successful we will look to add this feature to some league races next season

Races are run in gender and age groups u11 (2.0km) u13 (3.2km) u15 (4.8km) then a combined race for u17 male and female,  u20 female, Seniors/vets females (all 6.4km) and senior men (9.6km). The rules for age groups are available to view on the Athletics4u website under the Cross Country tab downloads. Additionally the  MV65+ may opt to run in the shorter distance Senior Female race or run as M60+ in the longer male race.

Start times for races will be in age order, starting with u11's and finishing with Senior men and will be advised on Athletics4u website in advance of the fixture. Although veteran athletes run in the senior race there are prize categories going up in five year age groups from mv40and fv35

The courses are as in previous years  with the start loop over the bumps then around the Ruins Ground into Bartons Bushes before returning to the start for more loops, depending upon distance run. The course is mainly grassland and woodland path.

The race is run under UK Athletics Rules and is an England Athletics permit event.


There is no additional fee for entering online. Please note that entry fees are nonreturnable. There will be no on the day entry this season, entries close at  23.59 on WEDS 5th JANUARY.


Running numbers with attached timing chip will be distributed at the event.

Numbers MUST be worn on the front and be visible. Marshals instructions MUST be obeyed at all times.
Timekeepers are busy. DO NOT attempt to interrupt them while they are working. Results will be published on the internet as soon as possible.
