Fusion Triathlon Club (Juniors U19), Glasgow
Join the Junior section of Scotland's multi award winning Fusion Triathlon Club: Click above to go to the membership application form.
Membership allows you to attend up to two regular coached training sessions per week (Wed p.m. and Sun a.m.). The sundays are turn up and pay, but the wednesdays sessions need to be prebooked. The club also organises several coached training camps throughout the year to help you improve further. All our coaches at Junior sessions are PVG-checked (child protection). Training sessions for Juniors and Seniors are scheduled entirely separately at all times.
The sign-up process remains the same as last year:
If you are a prospective new member of the club, then we promise you high-quality coaching at all times. In practice, this is only possible with a broadly similar range of abilities and commitment among our athletes. So to allow us to keep our promise and to make sure you are happy in the club, we would like to meet you first before promoting you to full club membership. Please register via the link above, and we will review your application.
By completing the entry form, you book a place at the next trial for new members. We would ask that you make this trial session your first session with the club. If that sounds scary, don't worry, because we'll make it fun -- like all our training sessions! Also it is no problem if you are new to triathlon: We only ask that you are able to swim four lengths of front crawl with your face in the water and that you have a helmet and bike in good working order. With the approval of our lead coaches, you then become a full club member for the year and can continue to attend training sessions. You only actually pay your membership fee when you become a full member.
If you were a member last year, then please sign up as usual, and we will approve your membership straightaway without the need for another trial.
Next assessment trial date will be in May 2017, date TBC, from 08:00 to 11:00 at Bellahouston Leisure Centre.
We also recommend that you become a member of TriathlonScotland, our national governing body. Not only are you then supporting the development of the sport, but as part of your membership you are also covered by TriathlonScotland's comprehensive insurance policy whilst training and competing in sanctioned events. By holding a race licence, you are eligible for reduced price race entries, you will receive extensive discounts on various retailers including Garmin , Lake shoes, MaxiNutrition to name only a few and you can score valuable points for the National (Club) Rankings race series.
All members who joined later after 21 November 2016 for the 2016/17 year will have received 15 months for the price of 12 and therefore will not be required to re join for this coming year.
