Seafest Forest Run!

The race is being organised by Lossiemouth Community Development Trust Sports Hub and any funds raised from the event will go towards ongoing and new sports development projects for Lossiemouth.

When - Saturday 13th August 2022

This a challenging race based around the wild and beautiful trails of the Oakenhead Wood in Lossiemouth. It takes runners out through some scenic and challenging terrain. The race starts at the Lossiemouth Bay Caravan Park and finishes where the Seafest fayre is held at Station Park. 

The route will be fully marked and marshalled and finishers will be rewarded with a medal, refreshements and as much cake as you can eat! Also, after the race a visit to the local Seafest festival that is on on the same day is a must :-).

The race is held on a mixture of hard trails, single track and unmade ground. The route will be signposted and marshalled but runners remain responsible for their own safety at all times and must ensure that they are appropriately dressed and trained for the event and weather conditions on the day.

Race Distance: Approx 5 kilometres

The race will be timed and results will be available as soon as you cross the finish line.

The event is open to all runners with a minimum age of 11 years old on the race day.

There will be an entry limit of 80 and once these are full we will operate a waiting list. If a place becomes available following a withdrawal, those on the waiting list will be notified and offered an opportunity to take up the place.

Please note that if you are unable to run or require to withdraw prior to race date, we will not be able to refund you.

Race registration will be open from 9:00am on the day of the race and will close 15 minutes before the start. Registration will be at Lossiemouth Bay Caravan Car Park, IV31 6NW.

The race will start at 10:00am - Lossiemouth Bay Caravan Car Park, IV31 6NW.

Runners must assemble at the start line 10 minutes prior to the start for the race briefing.

All finishers will receive a medal and as much tea, coffee and cake as you can eat!
