OCR Scotland 2022 Challenge
31 Dec 2022
Organiser's Description
The OCR Scotland 2022 challenge, the concept is simple, the challenge is not!
You will have from 01 January 2022 to 31 December 2022 to complete 1000 running km or miles or why not take part in both - gym, training and event distanceds are all valid. Each challenge will have it's own unique medal.
By taking part in the challenge you will be able to track performance against fellow runners as well as the target runner (basically a virtual pacemaker). Updates can be sent to you via email and / or you can join the challenge facebook page with your fellow participants to help keep each other motivated.
Progress tables will be updated at least monthly at the start of the challenge, and more frequently in the latter half of the year. All participants will receive a pdf certificate of total distance completed, and everyone who successfully completes the challenge will earn themselves the Challenge medal.
Now there are a few rules:
* you can sign up throughout December and January.
* to log runs you can use the STRAVA Run Group, Map My Run Challenge, or submit your run log to OCR Scotland Challenge Mailbox, we are also looking at the option of an online submission form (details will follow once available.
* For the first half of the year progress tables will be published at least monthly to the facebook page and to email if requested (option to select during sign up), and more frequently in the latter half.
* all event distances will be taken as advertised by race organiser, although if there is a significant variance, distance will be adjusted (as we know a number of races like to understate the distance in OCR)
