Welcome to the RAF Shawbury Charity 10km road race, in support of the RAF Benevolent Fund (https://www.rafbf.org/).  We are very happy to announce the event will go ahead as planned.

Looking for a target or goal for 2022?  Look no further, this event is great for those just starting out in the running game, the club superheroes looking to crush a PB and elite athletes wanting to compete against some of the best runners in the country. There is something for everyone.  Those wishing to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund are requested to use this link:

Address: RAF Shawbury, SY4 4DZ

Parking: There is ample parking. Please follow direction signs and marshals.  Do not try to enter the event via RAF Main gate.

Max entries:  400

Prizes: Trophies for M/F 1/2/3.

Medals: Finisher medals will be given out at the end of the race.

Charity: This event is organised annually by RAF Shawbury to raise money for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF).  RAFBF are an independent charity who receive no government funding and provide assistance to the whole of the RAF family, when they are in need.  This includes members of the Air Cadet Organisation. They also maintain the RAF Memorial and Bomber Command Memorial in London.

Environment: Litter or Foreign Object Debris (FOD) causes Foreign Object Damage and can have a catastrophic impact on aircraft and organisational capability.  Absolutely NO FOD is to be dropped on the ground, it must be placed in the bins provided, including the water station at 5 km point.  Such is the significance, anyone found to be in breach of this will be immediately disqualified, removed from MOD property and banned from further events.  This is non-negotiable.  Your vehicle may be subject to search upon entering MOD property.

This is a non-refundable event, however, should the event be delayed or changed to virtual for reasons out of our control, your entry will be transferred.
