Welcome to the entry pages for Stewart Brewing and Durty Events 10K (ish) Trail Run, Hop Run.

If you like great beer and running on amazing riverside trails then Hop Run is the perfect event for you! 

It’s a 10K trail run with an important twist – the finish line is in Stewart Brewing’s HQ! Beers, music, food and good times guaranteed after your run.

After meeting at Stewart Brewing’s incredible HQ in Loanhead, we will whisk you by coach to the historic Rosslyn Chapel (heavily featured in the Da Vinci Code book and film) to start your 10K trail run through the beautiful valley of the North Esk River. You will pass tumbling waterfalls, still river pools, quiet natural forests and atmospheric ruins of the area’s surprising industrial past, before emerging at Stewart Brewing HQ to celebrate your achievement over a beer (the first one’s on us!). Along with your beer token you will also receive a branded bottle opener and a custom event t-shirt (if you want it!). 

There is the potential for this to be very muddy underfoot, so please wear appropriate trail shoes and bring a dry pair of clothes for after your run! 

A Greener Hop Run!

1. Feed station cups are our biggest source of waste so we’re stopping using them. There will be no cups at feed stations. Please bring your own reusable vessel or we'll have some available in registration for a small fee. You will need to carry this with you and use it on the course if you wish to use feed stations.
2. T-shirts: some of you love them and some of you don’t. If you’re the latter, we’ll now give you the option to donate the cost of your event tee to our run charity, Bright Sparks. You can make this selection when you sign up via Entry Central by choosing No T-Shirt. Your entry cost will remain the same and we’ll donate the equivalent value to Bright Sparks.

Brought to you by the combined enthusiasm and expertise of Stewart Brewing and Durty Events, and in association with Rosslyn Chapel, Hop Run is guaranteed to be a fun day out! This race is for over 18s only. Under 18s are welcome at Stewart Brewing HQ when accompanied by an adult until 8pm.

Entries are not transferable. Photographic ID may be requested at race registration.

Entrants wishing to withdraw must inform the organiser by email. Entry fees will be refunded or transferred as follows; up to (1 month prior to race date) 75% refund (less any Entry Central or SI fees), up to (2 weeks prior to race date) 50% refund (less any Entry Central or SI fees). After (2 weeks prior to race date) - no refund.

If the event is cancelled due to circumstances out of the organisers control then no refunds will be offered, and the organiser will accept no further liability whatsoever arising from such a cancellation. This includes situations such as adverse weather conditions or major incidents. In this circumstance, the organisers will make every reasonable attempt to reschedule the event, in which scenario, original entrants will have their entry automatically transferred to the rescheduled event.

If the event is cancelled due to circumstances within the organisers control then entrants will be offered a 50% refund. Entrants must apply in writing (via email) to claim their refund. No refunds will be granted after one month has passed from the event date.

Use of Data: By entering this event I agree that the data supplied by me can be used for the purposes of safely organising and managing the event, essential communications with me pre- and post-race, and for electronic event timing. This data will be held securely, and for a maximum of 1 year. Email data may be used indefinitely for the purposes of sending occasional e-newsletters by Durty Events and Stewart Brewing only.
