Timetable:

To be confirmed in pre-race information but likely to be

5 or 6 groups of up to 30 competitors from 09.00am - this will be updated shortly once triathlon scotland sanctioning has been passed and all event timings confirmed to adapt to C19 individual starts and adaptations.

- Extended transition areas to allow for social distancing.
- Track & Trace health declaration required.
- Spectators discouraged.
- No prize-giving ( this is a Triathlon Scotland requirement).

The race will be run under triathlonscotland rules. You are responsible for knowing the rules and the course.

For exmple: Drafting on the bike IS permitted, but not between genders (i.e. men can’t draft off women or vice versa).
Cross Bikes are permitted (but may not be the right choice. Up to you).
Any reports of competitors being abusive and/ or aggressive will result in an instant DQ. Please be nice to each other, and remember that the marshals are all giving up their day so that you can race.
In general, stick to normal ‘rules of the road’ – i.e. ride on the left, overtake on the right. If you need to walk, make sure you’re not on ‘the line’ and blocking other cyclists who are able to ride the section.

Health and Safety: This is an off road duathlon bike and a trail run and you will be running on some uneven surfaces. Runners should come adequately prepared for uneven woodland trails, tarmac, and grass and mud surfaces.

All routes are extensively sign posted and marshalled. Safety is paramount and we expect bikers and runners to follow the advice of marshals at all times & take all reasonable precaution.

Please be courteous towards public dog walkers and other path users as they have equal rights and access to trails and paths in and around the Lochore Meadows Country Park.

Cancellation: In the event of extreme weather, covid lockdown introductions or other events outwith our control the race may be cancelled and re-arranged for a later date. In the event of this race being cancelled your entry will be automatically transferred to a rescheduled date. This date will be decided by Scurry Events (most likely the following week). If you are unable to make this date then a 25% refund (less Entry central fees) can be made (you will need to email within a month of the event for this to processed). However, should the Lochore Meadows Country Park (or another 3rd party) not permit a resheduled date within a short timescale and the resource not be available or the weather still unpredictable to reschedule within 2 months from the scheduled date then we will have no choice but to cancel and offer no refund.

In the event of abandonment, postponement or cancellation of the event, we will have no responsibility for any costs incurred because of cancellation, including travel or accommodation costs.

Should Scurry Events need to cancel or postpone due to low competitor sign up numbers within a week of the event and the event is no longer economically viable then the option of a full refund (less administration fees) will be passed on or your entry will be deffered into a 2021 date.

Participant withdrawal / Refund policy: If for any reason after registration you wish to withdraw from the event: Any time up until 30 days from the date of the event you can login to entry central and organise a transfer with someone you know or email for a 50% refund (less Entry central fees). Between 30 days and 14 days from the event you can login to entry central and organise a transfer with someone you know or email for a 25% refund (less Entry central fees). No refunds will be given within 14 days. Participants who do not attend the event will not receive any form of refund/credit. During the event: no refunds will be given.

Unfortunately, we cannot make changes to the above for any local area Covid lockdown scenarios and normal participant withdrawal / refund policy procedures will be in place. If a competitor has to self isolate over the event date the above participant withdrawal / refund policy procedures will be in place.  For full national lockdown scenarios please see 'cancellation' conditions above.

By signing up to this event you agree that we may publish your personal information as part of the results of the event and may pass such information to the governing body if applicable or any affilliated organisation for the purpose of insurance, licences or for publishing results either for the event alone or combined with or compared to other events. Results may include (but not be limited to) name, any club affiliation, race times, occupation and age category. I agree that my contact details can be used to communicate with me for matters relating to the organising of this event, including but not limited to, updates on event planning and results (including links to social media event groups) and for communication about holding of this event in the following year.

First Aid / Injuries: These events can be strenuous, and the organisers cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries. A First-aid team will be available at the Start and Finish areas. Anyone withdrawing during the event must report to the finish team.

Emergency Contacts: Please ensure you write your emergency contact details on the reverse of your race number.

Prize Giving: There will be no prize-giving at this event. Sorry this is to prevent group gatherings. I understand this will be disappointing for some individuals who have performed well. However, the first 3 males and first 3 females overall along with the first over 40 male and female and first junior male and junior female (or role down if in the top 3) for the full distance and the sprint distance will still receive a prize medal by post after the results have been collated (medals may take a week or two to arrive). A first relay team prize will be posted if there are 2 teams or more and a second if there are 5 teams or more.

We aim to have some spot prizes as individual competitors cross the finish line.

Facilities: Toilet facilities can be found in the Park centre building.

Due to Covid restrictions no changing or shower facilities will be available.

Car Parking: There is ample car parking at Lochore meadows country park.

Refreshments: Drinks and sustenance will be available at (or near) the finish. Further refreshments will be available from the outside kiosk connected to the cafe in the Park Centre.
