Organiser's Description

Welcome to the 2022 Scurry along the Esk 15 mile, 10 mile and 5 mile trails runs.

The runs will be clearly marked and marshalled off road routes for everyone to enjoy.

The 10 mile route is a fast and relatively flat Scurry from the start up from Roslin Glen Country Park along the beautiful Esk to Penicuik and back with the 15 mile route adding in a scenic and more adventurous undulating 5 mile trail within the Penicuik estate.

New in 2022 is the introduction of a 5 mile route. The 5 mile route follows the 10 mile and 15 mile routes for the first 600 yds from the start then turns right after the stepped path onto the North Esk Way and heads towards Penicuik turning at the Loan burn which runs through Beeslack woods before heading back on the same route as the other two events into Roslin Glen Country park.

Registration will be in the Roslin Glen Country Park. All 5mile,  10 mile and 15 mile entrants will need to leave time to walk 10mins to the start line on the Esk Way after the pillars on the sharp bend in the Roslin glen road.

A contribution from the trail runs will go towards supporting the Penicuik estate charitable foundation which assits in a range of environmental initiatves across the estate.

Active Root will be providing a post race drink and all competitors will receive a race memento.

We will look forward to seeing you there.
