STROMNESS SPRINT TRIATHLON -  20th July 2019

Race Details

The triathlon starts with a 750m swim at the swimming pool on the outskirts of town, with the cycle taking the competitors along a quiet out and back course through rolling countryside. The 5k out and back road run takes you through the picturesque streets of Stromness.

The roads for both bike and run legs are open for this event. Participants are reminded that road safety and compliance with the highway code are their responsibility. Both bike and run routes will be marshalled and signposted.

REMEMBER - No bike helmet - No race!

Team/relay entries are actively encouraged.

We are also very happy to accept entries from anyone aged 15 and over.

This event is NOT chip-timed.

Results will be available on the day.

750 metre pool swim - Swim waves and lanes organised according to anticipated times. Please be accurate with your swim time.

Cycle
The 20k out and back cycle takes competitors to the North West of Stromness on an undulating course on quiet and well signed roads.

Run
The run is an out and back 5 km course that takes you through the picturesque narrow streets of Stromness.
