The event will be held under the Motorcycle Racing Association (Ireland) Ltd Competition Rules and Standing Regulations including any Supplementary Regulations as have or may be issued for the event.
The event is open to riders competing on solo/quad motorcycles who are holding a current competition license issued by the MRA and MCUI (SC)., A.C.U. or S.A.C.U. & Continental FMN’s. Competitorsfrom outside Ireland must produce a letter of release from their FMN iin order to compete .
Sign- on will take place on Friday evening 26th October 8pm-10pm in the Portrush Atlantic Hotel Main Street Portrush

5 Events – a series of races: 4 or 5 will be run on both days for the following classes
Premier,Semi-expert, Clubman MX1, Clubman MX2, Quads, Sidecars.
ALL RACES WILL BE OVER 6 LAPS
Saturday: Prize money : 1 st £50, 2nd £20, 3rd £10 ( all events)
Sunday : Trophies 1st ,2nd,3rd (all events)
H T M MOTORCYCLES CUP : to best solo performer over both days
6. Entries -restricted to 130 competitors
These must be made via the On -line entries at www. EntryCentral .com SEARCH Portrush Motor Cycle Beach Races. Entry fee £60.00 + on line charge.
Entry fees will only be returned in the event of the meeting being cancelled or entries returned. The promoters reserve the right to refuse any entry or to return any entry already received. Entries close when class is full.
- Riders Briefing.
All riders must attend the riders briefing for final instructions prior to commencing practice.
Drivers must complete at least one sighting lap of the course in practice which will be run in a controlled manner before each race
Due to the difficulty of access to the beach,all machines are requested to remain in the assembly area for the duration of each days racing.
9. Start of a Race
A clutch start with a National Flag will be employed. The co-operation of the drivers in entering the Assembly Area promptly is required. machines may only be started in the Assembly Area on instructions from the Paddock Marshals.
One full lap measures approx. 1500 metres of a beach marked with rope, stakes and cones. Flag or marker cutting may entail exclusion, any driver leaving the course must return to it at the point at which he left it, penalty exclusion, except where it is inadvertent and no advantage is gained.
11. Scrutineering of Machines and Signing on Drivers/Passengers
Before commencing practise Drivers must present their machines, clothing and helmet in racing condition for checking. Scrutineering will take place in the paddock from 8.00 a.m. Crash helmets must bear the 2018 M.R.A. stamp. entrants must have a current competition license available for inspection when signing on. A driver must not practice or race any machine not scrutineered. Riding numbers must be displayed on machines.
Due to the nature of the venue and to prevent pollution of the beach, all storage of fuel and refuelling must take place on the spillage mats in the designated refuelling area
13. Stopping a race
A race if stopped prematurely for reasons of force majeure, may be re- run at the discretion of the promoters with the permission of the stewards. A race will be re-run should there be a false start.
14. Flag Signals
The International Code of Signals will be used and such signals must be obeyed instantly as failure to do so may result in exclusion. A yellow flag with a black cross will indicate the last lap of a race.
15. Red Flags
If a race is stopped because of a rider/s lying on the course, that rider or riders will not be allowed to restart the race
Signalling will not be permitted on the course.
- Any rider refusing medical attention deemed necessary after a fall will not be allowed to race further on in the day.
- No overnight camping will be permitted in the paddock area to comply with Council bye-laws, Council has overnight facilities for vehicles at their designated area in Sandhill Drive.
- The use of tear-off will not be permitted at this venue.
- No paddock scooters will be permitted at this venue and no riding in the paddock.

It is a condition of admission that all persons having any connection with the promotion and/or organisation and/or conduct of the meeting, including the owners of the land and the drivers and owners of vehicles and passengers in the vehicles, are absolved from all liability arising out of the accidents, howsoever caused, resulting in damage and/or person
