The event will be held on Sunday 13th May 2018, Registration will be open on the day from 8:00am and will close at 9:45am, followed by a race briefing.1st heat will start 15mins after briefing. There will be changing and shower facilities available and also lockers.

This is a Come & Tri Triathlon, distances are 400m Pool Swim - 11.5km Cycle - 4km Run

For those of you that have done our Tri before, it is the exact same course as previous years. Good news - The cycle route has been resurfaced and its waiting on a new course record being smashed. The run is on pavement & road (No Trail)
There is no pressure on anyone to compete, we love to encourage 1st timers aswel as seasoned pros at our Tri, it is for charity afterall. Dont worry if its a mountain bike you have either, anything goes aslong as its in good working order.. Only thing you must have is a Helmet. (No Helmet, No Race)
If you are not confident in tackling it all solo, why dont you enter as a Relay Team (separate trophy) Teams can consist of 2 or 3 members.
As this is a charity sponsored event we ask that you raise a minimum of £40.00 per person for our charity.
There will be a Free Buffet at the end for all competitors. Everyone will get a little memento for taking part and prizes for Various Top Spots including the sought after 1st Local Male & Female Claim to Fame, will be presented as soon as we collate the results.
Butterfly Events is the official organiser of this event and all entry fees will go to Cancer Research UK.
Supporters of Butterfly Events have been enjoying fun in Ayrshire, in aid of Cancer Research UK since 2007. Lorna Dempsey started fundraising following the death of a close friend to Breast Cancer. To date, our voluntary committee, have raised a fabulous £375,000 , which is helping fund ongoing research into all types of Cancer in the UK. Butterfly Events aims are: - to organize fun, exciting, affordable events for everyday people whilst raising much needed funds for this fantastic charity and highlighting the importance of cancer awareness.
Cancer Research UK is the Worlds leading independent charity, dedicated to beating cancer through research. The charity will spend 80p from every £1 we raise directly on research into over 200 different types of cancer. We help fund over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses throughout the UK who investigate all aspects of cancer from sell growth to clinic trials with suffering patients. Cancer Research UK receives no government funding, so it is very important we continue our good work.
