2016 Rio Olympics seems ike a dim and distant memory, but the 2017 season is now in full swing and there are lots of incident and drama in the eary races. However, the GB and Triathlon Scotland Triatheletes are still putting in great performances in all distances with familiar names on the podium Holland, Stanford and Hall and Alistair dominating the 70.3 dojo, and David MacNamee crushing 70.3.
The MacQueen Bros Mid Argyll Triathlon is all about the transition fun buzz and the guarantee of the wind at your back on the bike and run course (for at least 50%!). So if you want to be on the start line make sure you guarantee a place with an early entry!

The MacQueen Bros Mid Argyll Triathlon is a sporting event which aspires to promotes local community participation balanced with the right degree of sporting competition. Resulting in an opportunity for novices to line up with some of the best age group Triathletes from across Scotland. Affiliated to Tri-Scotland, the National body for Triathlon in Scotland, the event is now a regular fixture on the national events calendar.

Minimum age of entry: 15 Years old at 1st December 2017

Junior Race licence holder £12.00
Junior Unlicensed £18.00

If the event is cancelled due to circumstances out of the organisers control then no refunds will be offered. This includes situations such as adverse weather conditions or major incidents. If the event is cancelled due to circumstances within the organisers control then entrants will be offered a 50% refund. Entrants must apply in writing (via email) to claim their refund. No refunds will be granted after one month has passed from the event date. Entrants wishing to withdraw must inform the organiser by email. Entry fees will be refunded as follows; up to 1st September 75% refund (less any Entry Central fees), up to 11th September 50% refund (less any Entry Central fees). After 11th September - no refund. Entries are not transferable.
Teams of three people only should be entered. Each person should be recorded on the team entry. One person is to swim, one person is to cycle and one is to run.
Please record on the entry form if you are a disabled athlete so that the event organizers can discuss with you suitability of the course.
Entries will be accepted up until the event is full and a reserve list will be in operation. Entries on the day will incur a race entry surcharge of £5.00.
Individual Entrants and Team Cyclists are reminded NO CYCLE HELMET, NO RACE
The parking of vehicles for the event is available in the local area. There is no parking available at the swimming pool Showers and toilet facilities are provided, with lockers costing 20p refundable.
Competitors must be registered and ready to race before 10.30am for a 10.50am start. Registration opens at 9.00am.
