Organiser's Description

Robert & Raymond would like to invite you to the 5th edition of our Falkirk Ultra

                                                        "Falkirk 33 mile Ultra"

Now in its 5th year and growing in popularity our next race will be held on the 6th February 2022 with a new format. Our Ultra Race is suitable for both experienced and novice ultra runners and is a good opportunity to gauge your training and fitness for the year ahead.  The 2022 race is a new 33 mile race in place of our usual race in which you could run as many miles as you could in 8 hours.

What you get for your entry £35 race fee:

Free entry to our athletes village were you can pitch up your tent or gazebo with all you need to get you through the day.

A cracking scenic course on mixed terrain of tarmac, trails and woodland through Callendar Park with some minor changes to our usual route.

Fully insured event with Burnside 1st aid covering our whole event on race day.
Electronic timing for all competitors with live tracking so your friends/family can follow your progress

Medal & new for 2022 a runners top for all finishers

Toilet facilities
Fully marshalled route with the best marshals on the ultra scene!!!

Race categories:

Male & Female solo runners with prizes awarded for both categories for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place


The main race loop is 4.089 miles long and the majority of it is run on forest trails and tracks with a small part on tarmac and a short grassy section. You will race 8 laps to complete your 33 miles. So fastest runners will win.

Electronic Timing

2022 will continue with electronic timing courtesy of Whats My Time. Live tracking will be available.


There is ample parking close to the start/finish area.
There will also be space near the start/finish for runners who wish to set up a gazebo for their team or club runners.


Toilet portaloos will be available from 630am and will be cleaned & sanatised on a regular basis

Public toilets will open at 9am

We will again be supported by the Bunny Hutch coffee stall where you will be able to purchase soup, sandwiches, coffee,teas and cakes etc throughout the day.

Safety Info

Please come well prepared for this event as you would for any other endurance race.Please remember to dress for any type of weather.

We will have a First Aid Cover on site for the duration of race but please don’t underestimate the importance a proper prepared race strategy no matter how experienced you are in running ultra races.
The race team will also be patrolling the course regularly on foot and bike, so don’t be afraid to ask for some company for a lap or two if you feel you need it. Can’t guarantee their conversation is great but it might take your mind off things.
Above all else, please keep an eye out for each other when on the course and let us know if you think someone is struggling or needs assistance.

Suggested Kit List 
Head torch w/spare batteries for the first couple of loops.
Full body waterproof clothing.
Hat & gloves.
Some warm layers, spare layers etc.
Basic first aid kit.
Folding chair.
Folding table.
Enough food to last the duration.
Any current medication you may be taking.
A sense of humour
Enough supplements, sports drinks, electrolytes etc to last the duration. Drinking water will be provided.
Mobile phone.
Anything else that will make your race more enjoyable….. within reason!!!!
The above kit is the bare minimum you are expected to have on the day and some of it is just our own recommendations from experience at ultra races. Equipment and food/drink requirements are a very individual thing for each athlete, so please be sure to test things out in training as its the only way to know what will work for you.
Please pack enough variations of clothes to cope with all weather eventualities as well as enough in quantity to ensure you have dry layers to change into.
Athletes are not expected to carry spare kit during the race. Due to the length of the course and the layout, your equipment can be stored in our registration marquee,your car and/or with your support crew.

Race Weekend
The schedule of events will typically be as follows:

From Monday 31st Jan till Saturday 5th Feb you will be able to register and pick up your goodie bag and race number form a venue tbc from 9am till 5pm.

Sunday 7th February 2021

Race registration  will be at marquee in front of Callendar House

7am - Race registration opens for last few who have been unable to register during the week.
7.15 - Marshall briefing.7.45 - Race registration closes.
7.55 - Athlete briefing on start/finish line.
8.00 - Falkirk Ultra race starts 6 groups of 50 at 60 sec intervals.
1.00 - Prize giving at main marquee
4.00 - Race finish

Prizes for 1st, 2nd 3rd Male and Female runners.


£35.00 for solo’s.

Limited to 300 athletes.

Once booked no refunds will be given. We will however accept tranfers/deferment until 1st December 2021

Transfer details should be arranged between the runners involved before notifying the Race Organiser of any changes which you will be able to do via EntryCentral.  We hope you will find this process fair. 

Occasionally we may have to alter the race route and distance due to forestry or other essential maintenance work. If the race is cancelled due to severe weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances then we will reschedule the race to a later date.
