Organiser's Description

Corsee Trail Reps

This week we'll be using one of our favourite trails in Corsee Woods for reps of roughly 800m. It's a super smooth surface, gently undulating and has a few fast flat straights where it's easy to get the legs turning over quickly. Depending on numbers we may run this as a paarlauf with a shorter loop as recovery. To round off the session we'll ramp up the pace with some short sharp efforts on the road.

The meeting point will be George V Park for our activation exercises and warm up jog to Corsee. As always our sessions are designed to cater for all abilities of runner so everyone is welcome.

The route will be a mixture of gravel paths and tarmac roads so suitable footwear should be worn.

Meet at King George V Park, next to the Guide hut, ready for a 6pm start. The session lasts one hour and includes our warm-up and cool down routines.

Cost: £6 per person.

Ample car parking by King George V Park and Bellfield car park

COVID GUIDELINES

We are adhering to Scottish Government, Sportscotland and scottishathletics guidelines.

In summary, these are:

Training groups and sizes:

All training sessions should be delivered and/or set by a UKA licensed coach (Athletics Coach/Level 2) or leader and delivered in accordance with the UKA Coaching Code of Practice.

Maximum group size of 30 including coaches.

Whilst the guidelines have been relaxed (as outlined below) on the field of play, scottishathletics strongly recommends that physical distancing should be adhered to on the field of play whenever possible, thus reducing the risk of virus transmission.

A “field of play bubble” for all ages means that physical distancing can be suspended for the duration of the activity. At all other times physical distancing must be maintained for individuals aged 12+.

Athletes must not congregate with other athletes outside their bubble prior to, and following, the coaching session.

Adult ‘group’ sport or activity refers to adults, who take part in organised sport or physical activity, where the number of participants is larger than allowed under normal household rules.
