Welcome to a new and exciting set of events; Castle Douglas Bike and Food Festival has a warm welcome for you in our renowned Food Town. We will offer you the opportunity to experience some of the best locally produced food and drink as well as demonstrations from chefs, bakers and brewers, but more importantly we will offer you the opportunity to have a crazy experience of an uphill short time trial. You will have three attempts to get your fastest time on a course that is designed for any one and any bike. We will even allow you to use different ones for each attempt if you want. Even if you choose to use an e bike we will give you a time. The route is the length of King Street passing through our food and event village, it has a gentle gradient but one not too be discounted. 

If you have entered the Gravel Sportive or the Street Criterium you can enter this event for free. Please enter as normal and we will refund the price. 

Young people will be encouraged to participate and we can offer a shorter ride for the tiny ones supported by responsible adults, children under 10 will have a free option and entries will be on the day.
