CBT Virtual Bike Challenge
26 Oct 2020 - 01 Nov 2020
There's hasn't been many real-world events lately for younger participants to get stuck into. Whilst we hope to address this soon, we wanted to set a little challenge for the Juniors and Youths out there.
What's the challenge?: To cycle the same number of kilometres (or miles if you want a bigger challenge!) as your/your child's age during the school half-term week (26th October to 1st November). This can be done in one go or over several sessions if preferred.
Who can join in?: Anyone up to the age of 15.
How does it work?: The distance can be covered on any route you like. Just ensure it's safe and you take other precautions as needed like wearing a helmet, using light if riding on the road in poor light and that participants are suitably supervised as apropriate to age.
Do I need to submit evidence?: We trust you! Just let us know when the correct distance has been completed by sending a quick email. You are welcome to send in evidence (a log, GPS file(s) etc.) but you don't have to - this is a personal challenge not competing against others.
Any other info?: We'd love it if you could also send in a picture - either an action shot or when the challenge is completed so we can share the achievments of those participating with others.
Is there an award for completing this challenge?: Yes! We've got some cool bike medals to celebrate your achievements and getting back to being active. These will be posted out the week after the event finishes, but if needed we can send them out earlier so they can be presented when completing the challenge (please email us if required).
What's the cost?: £7.50 including booking fees charged by Entrycentral, medal and postage.
