The Stow Maries Trail Challenge is a 6 hour trail running challenge, where runners are able to set there own targets and goals. The route is just over 5K, a 3.3mile loop 95% off road, following footpaths through the fields and vineyards, enjoying occasional views across the River Crouch. Fully marked with tape and arrows. Each runner completes as many loops and they can/want to within the 6 hour limit. Final laps must be started by 3.15pm. Completing just one lap entitles you to what is to be an awsome medal. Whether you are looking to complete your first 5K, 10 miler, marathon or ultra this race caters for you.

The race starts and finishes next to the carpark near to the entrance of the aerodrome. There will be 1 well stocked checkpoint that you will pass every 5K.

When you reach the finish you will recieve a well earned medal and goodies.

The race is run under permit from The Trail Running Association (permit applied for).

This event cost £34 for affiliated runners (England Athletics) / £36 for all others 

Start time:  9.30am.

Bags will be able to be left at the start/finish, there will be someone there at all times.

This will be a chip timed event.  Please ensure your number is clearly visible on your front. Also be prepared to shout your number at the finish if requested.  We are aiming to post the results on the web later the same day.

Race rules

• Please do not pass your number to anyone else.
• You MUST report to the race organiser if you are abandoning the race.
• Do Not use personal stereos, MP3 players, etc., You need to be fully aware of what is going on around you at all times. This is for your safety, the safety of your fellow competitors and the safety of the public.
