Organiser's Description

Welcome to the first Hubble Bubble Halloween 5km running event.

Scurry Events are hosting this event at the Fife Cycle Park, Glencraig, on Saturday the 2nd of November at 6pm

Join in and have some fun prolonging the Halloween Night celebrations. Fancy dress is optional.   

Minimum age 15 on race day.

The 5k course is set in nice safe surroundings and is suitable for all kinds of runners including beginners to the more experienced. There is no time limit, so please feel free to walk, jog or run. The course is a 1 mile circuit (you will complete 3 loops) on Class 'A' Tarmac and is undulating with a wee tester of a hill 3/4 of the way in.  

We aim to use chip timing if numbers hit 200/250 or more otherwise we may use manual timing for this event.

All participants will receive a commemorative medal after they cross the finish line. 

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female will each be awarded a spooky prize. There will also be a prize for best fancy dress.

Health and Safety: To enter the race a runner must be physically fit to run 5km and over 15 years old on race day.

All runners participate entirely at their own risk. The race organiser shall not be liable for any accident, injury, loss or damage arising as a consequence of any runner's participation in the race.

Entries may not be deferred. No refunds will be given (see cancellation below)

Headphones are permitted but not advised.

There will be several marshals around the course ensuring you are all happy and safe.  If you happen to feel unwell or wish to stop please let a marshal know immediately. Please follow all instructions from your race marshals as they are there to ensure your safety.

All competitors must cross the finish line or if withdrawing report to the finish.

 Run buggies and prams are permitted. Sorry no canicross / no dogs.

Adverse weather conditions on the day may cause the race to be cancelled or if possible rescheduled.

First Aid / Injuries: These events can be strenuous, and the organisers cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries. A First-aid team will be available at the Start and Finish areas. Anyone withdrawing during the event must report to the finish team.

Car Parking: Come by public transport if possible. There is parking on site for around 70 cars, and there is plenty parking at the neighbouring Lochgelly High School within a 5 minute walk, however please car share where possible. Please do not to park outside the facility on the main road

Facilities:  There are toilet and shower faclilities on site along with vending machines to grab a drink/snack. You may leave bags within the Clubhouse but this will be at your own risk (please do not leave valuables). The organisers accept no responsibility for loss of clothing or equipment.

Refreshments: Water and a banana will be provided at the finish. 

Cancellation: In the event of extreme weather including early frost or conditions making the track unsafe for runners, the race may be cancelled and re-arranged for a later date. In the event of this race being cancelled your entry may be automatically transferred to a rescheduled date. This date will be decided by Scurry Events and with permissions from the Fife Cycle Park (most likely the following week). If you are unable to make this date then a 25% refund can be made.

In the event of abandonment, postponement or cancellation of the event, we will have no responsibility for any costs incurred because of cancellation, including travel or accommodation costs.

Participant withdrawal / Refund policy: If for any reason after registration you wish to withdraw from the event: Any time up until 25 days from the date of the event you can login to entry central and organise a transfer with someone you know or email for a 50% refund. Between 25 days and 14 days from the event you can login to entry central and organise a transfer with someone you know or email for a 25% refund. No refunds will be given within 14 days. Participants who do not attend the event will not receive any form of refund/credit. During the event: no refunds will be given.
