For those taking part in their first multisport event here is a suggested kit list.
For the swim:
1. Swimming costume/jammers/swim trunks
For the bike and run:
3. Trainers/running shoes
4. Waterproof jacket - weather dependant
5. Roadworthy Bike (safe to use, brakes work etc.)
6. Cycle Helmet (no helmet, no race)
Additional items to consider:
1. water bottle
2. towel x2
Kids will complete their swim and then leave the pool at the emergency exit at the south end of the building. A transition / changing area will be set up in the bike shed adjacent to the pool exit. Kids can towel down if they wish and get on their kit ready to bike and run. There is then a short walk/run along the footpaths from the pool transition area to the athletics track. This will be marshalled but we would ask, where required, parents and guardians escort their child. There will be signs and marshalls to help the kids (and adults) at all stages. Once at the athletics track, kids will get on their bike and cycle laps of the track dependant on age. They will then rack their bike, take off their cycle helmet and complete the run laps required to the finish line.
All kids will receive a medal and gift at the post race presentation. Trophies will be given to first finishers in the male and female age groups.
Further information will be given at the race briefing on how best to race and race safely. If you have questions before race day please contact Neil Robertson or Albert Bruce, the race organisers, by phone on 07545257744 or 07921802652, and by email on or
Results will be available on the day.
