PLEASE NOTE ENTRIES FOR THIS RACE CLOSE ON 13 AUGUST 2019 - THERE IS NO ENTRY ON THE NIGHT
The Dumbarton Dream race is held in the scenic Levengrove Park, Dumbarton and offers an opportunity to experience running in a setting overlooking the River Clyde. The course is mainly off road but includes a section on a quiet road. The start and finish is at the War Memorial near the park entrance. The race is approximately 8k.
The race forms the third event in the week-long Tour of Clydeside and can be entered as a single event or as part of the Tour. Please note that if you want to enter the whole Tour of Clydeside (all 5 races) there is a separate page on EntryCentral which can be found at http://www.entrycentral.com/tourofclydeside.
Entry fee: £7 (SAL) and £9 (non-SAL). Tour of Clydeside entry is £20/£30 (early bird) or £25/35
Start time: 7.30pm
Number collection is from 7pm near the War Memorial near to the Clydeshore Road entrance to the Park.
The route: the course comprises two laps within the confines of the park, and has both downhill and uphill sections. The majority of the route is on soft ground within the wooded area of the park. Weather conditions impact on the route and some wet ground is to be anticipated.
Water: this year we are seeking to reduce our environmental footprint and thus ask all runners to BRING YOUR OWN water container. We will have water to collect at the start and finish of the race.
Results: will be posted on our Facebook page.
There are no prizes for the individual race, but a wide range of prizes for the Tour, based on the accumulated positions in each of the 5 races.
2019 marks the 100th year anniversary of Dumbarton Athletic Club (the organisers of this race) and the Tour of Clydeside organisers are delighted to join the club members in marking this occasion.
