Triathlon is a fast growing sport with more and more people taking part and giving it a go. If you are a seasoned triathlete or an absolute beginner then this challenge could be for you.
Triathlon consists of swimming, cycling and running, three fun discplines all done one after the other. Some may find this daunting therefore I have put together a virtual event which takes the pressure off from a race environment.
There are 2 distances available, you have the novice distance which consists of:-
* swimming 400m (16 lengths)
* cycling 10km
* running 2.5km
Or the sprint distance:-
* swimming 750m (30 lengths)
* cycling 20km
* running 5km
All three disciplines have to be done back to back however they will be done at your own pace! This event is a great way to motivate and challenge yourself.
It’s your race, your rules. You can swim in a pool, a lake or the sea! You can cycle on a static bike or cycle outside! You can run on a treadmill or run outside. If you have always fancied giving triathlon a go but have held back for whatever reason, well this is your perfect chance to give it a tri. :)
All I ask is that you send evidence that you have done all three disciplines by supplying me with your data via garmin, strava etc. If you do not have a swim watch please do not worry, just supply me with your swim time seperately followed by your cycle and run mileage via garmin etc.
Motivate yourself and bring “Bling” to your training! Book your place now on the Virtual Challenge and earn yourself a lovely colourful triathlon medal (Measuring 60mm in diameter) that will be engraved with' Swim Bike Run 2018'
Start counting the days until your race bling arrives!
You have between now and the end of May to complete your challenge, so plenty time to get training and give it a go. Once the end of May comes I will post our your bling.
If your still not convinced here are some comments from a previous virtual event!
'This has been a great event, fantastic for motivation, thank you'
'Thank you for setting this up, I am really excited'
'Brilliant way to encourage me to get out and give it a go'
