Stanton Stile Hop – 5k Multi Terrain Fun Run
21 Apr 18
EVENT INTRODUCTION & NOTES
This Stanton Stile Hop course will take runners on a 5km loop from the centre of Stanton village on a mixture of terrain such as quiet lanes and across fields. As the event name implies, there are number of stiles on the course which all runners will need to climb over as part of the event. Please note: it is very likely that at some stiles there will be a queue to get over the stile. This is all part of the event so please be patient and don’t push your way through.
There is also a risk of some puddles and/or lying water in places but this will be dependent on the amount of rain on the lead up to the event.
The course itself gradually rises over the first half with a half way ‘feature’ hill of approximately 80 meters in length, to test your fitness. From the half way point, the course then starts to make its way back towards the finish area. Approximately 80% of the course is off road.
Runners of all abilities are very welcome including children of 9 and above however please ensure that all children under 12 years old are within arm’s reach of an accompanying adult throughout the race. Adult entry fees start at 16 years old (where the child is 16 by or on the 21st April 2018).
A full and detailed course map will be available to view in at the Race HQ in the Village Hall on the morning of the race.
Race HQ is located at Stanton upon Hine Heath Village Hall, Booley Lane, Postcode SY4 4DY. Race start is located 100 mtrs away on Moreton View.

We have secured a designated parking area located at the rear of the village hall which should be adequate to park nearly all competitors travelling by car. PLEASE do not park anywhere else in the village unless you are advised to by one of our marshals. Parking is located behind the Village Hall so please head to this location and you will be directed by one of our helpers who will be wearing yellow High Visibility vests.
If for any reason the designated area does become full, please can we ask all competitors that you kindly park sensibly. Stanton is a small country village with no specific car park. We have informed the local community of the event. Please do not park on residents’ driveways or block any residents in. This could result in your vehicle being removed whilst you are racing.
