It's All About The Breath - Yoga Workshop with Mark Russell

15 Oct 17

It's All About The Breath 15th October 2017 10am - 1pm

The very positive feedback from several previous versions of this workshop has encouraged Mark to run this workshop again.

There is more and more modern research to support what Yogis have known for thousands of years.  Everything we do in life is affected and can be improved by our awareness of our breath.  This can be in asana (physical yoga practice), sports, relationships, interviews or just about anything we need to take part in.

Join Mark for a morning simply about the breath.  He will be sharing teaching from his own practice and extensive reading as well as his lessons with AG Mohan in Chennai, India and his time with Gary Carter, anatomy specialist over the past year.

We will discuss your breath, how the breath works, how you can improve it and how to apply it.

There will be an overview of modern research on how the breath affects the mind and the heart.  Krishnamacharya states that Pranayama (the regulation of the breath) can even improve the longevity of your life!

The workshop will take place over 3 hours at the Kinning Park Complex in the South Side of Glasgow.

We will also have some tea and snacks at the end, so please don't rush off!
