A spectacular setting for this new event!! Grand views looking North towards the Airlie Monument and beyond into the Cairngorm National Park and South across the Strathmore Valley for which provide the start and finishing point at the Camera Obscura!! This is a testing run half road/half trail possibly even a bit muddy in places ... a race with a wee sting in the tail!! The route carries runners nicely off Kirrie Hill past the Kirriemuir Golf Course into Caddam Woods!! From there heading west along the north side of Kinnordy Loch before skirting down by the lilyponds!! The Gairie Burn then guides us back into town for a gentle climb back up to the Camera Obscura for the final assault on a finish which differs from most on offer anywhere!! This is a race not to be missed!!!
START: Camera Obscura, Kirrie Hill, Northmuir, Kirriemuir DD8 4PT at 11.00am.
Entry includes medal for all finishers with prizes in a range of individual categories plus of spot prizes to celebrate our 1st event!
