Children's 1st Fancy dress Fun Run 6K
Entries are being invited for this 6K Fancy dress Fun Run event held at Car Park 4, Strathclyde Country Park to raise awareness and funds for the children's 1st charity on Sunday 29th January 2017.
Whether you're a newcomer, novice, or chasing a PB, this is the race for you!. The entry fee includes;
- Fun friendly atmosphere
- Face painting and other fun activities for kids
- Water/Aid Station
- Charitable donation (the event is raising money for Children's 1st)
- Finishers Medal
- Flat/gently undulating Lochside course
Start time 1030hrs (TBC - watch for briefing details before the race).

Strathclyde Country Park is situated near the M74 (Exit J5 or J6) - nestling between Hamilton and Motherwell. There is ample Car Parking, a nearby Theme Park and the facility is only a relatively short drive from Glasgow Centre.
The Prize Presentation will be made at the finish line at Car Park 4 (weather permitting) as soon as possible after the race. Links to Provisional results and Free downloadable Photo's of the event will be available on the race Fackbook home page as soon as possible on Race Day.
Registration will opened at approx 0900hrs on the day of the event in Car Park 4. You are requested to register & collect your number and by 1015hrs
There is also a public cafeteria available with toilets
There is ample parking available in the four car parks situated beyond the Water Sports entrance.
Arrangements will be made to hold competitor baggage in a secure area adjacent to Registration during the race. You will need to present your race number to retrieve any left items.
CONDITION OF ENTRY:
By entering the event, you agree to abide by these conditions of entery and any race instructions given to you by the organisers and officals.
All entry fees are non-refundable
Dogs and Guide Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a lead at all times during the event.
CHILDERN UNDER 12:
Children under 12 are free to participate in this event although as by law must stay with their parent or guardian throughout the event. The same race number will be issued to both parent/guardian and number of childern participating with them.
It is strongly recommended that you train for the event that you are talking part in. All participants are strongly advised to consult their doctor proir to ondertalking any execrise programme or running/cycling event. It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure they are medically fit to participate in the event
Whilst spectators are welcome and encouraged they must not crowd the course.

By entering the race you give permittion for the free use of your name, voice or picture in any promotion or other account of this event.
The event will only be cancelled or postponed due to unforseen and unavoidable circumstances. In such an eventuality all participants will be notified as soon as possible. The organiser's entire liability in respect of all costs and expenses you may incur as a resultof such cancellaton or delay will solely be the entry price you have paid to take part in the event.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse an entrant's attendance at or participation. We strive to organise a safe and enjoyable event and hope that you will help us in achieving this. Any participant who is found in breach of these terms and conditions will be excluded from future events. please do not put someone else at risk.
