Vindurouk.org MOWBRAY HARE and HOUNDS

Permit AMCA/E/10624

JURISDICTION:
An off-road competition for solo motorcycles being held under the National Sporting Code and the safety of AMCA.

ELIGIBILITY:
All riders must be aged 16 years or over and hold a valid AMCA licence. Day licence will be included as part of the entry fee.  A refund of £5 will be given at sign on upon production of a current valid AMCA licence.

VENUE:
Spa Farm, near Thirsk, YO7 4AA

COURSE:
We envisage a lap length of between 6 and 8 minutes in length, predominantly run on grass fields and natural terrain with possibly a stream crossing if the weather conditions are favourable. There are no hills as such at the venue so there will be plenty of twists and turns with plenty of straights where you can have a blast. The course will be rideable for all abilities and any type of off road motorcycle.

CLASSES:
EVO2 1991 - 1995, EVO, 1986 - 1990. A, 1981 - 1985. B, 1976 - 1980. C, 1971 - 1975. D 1966 - 1970. 

Combined 50 Plus Class..... this is for riders on a more modern bike where the combined age of bike and rider are a minimum of 50 years old. For example, a 40 year old rider on a 10 year old bike, a 50 year old on a new bike (if unsure drop us a line for clarification). We had this class as the Dodder's at Doddington in June and have been asked if we can do it again. 

RULES:
This event will be held under the AMCA Competition code for Hare and Hounds events.

SCRUTINEERING and SIGN ON:
On Sunday morning between 9:30 and 10:30am; all machines must be adequately silenced no open pipes please. Ball end levers to be fitted to all lever operated hand controls.  Any machines deemed to be in an unsafe state of repair will not be allowed to start. Approved type crash helmets must be used and to be in good condition and presented with your machine at scrutineering. Riders’ numbers must be visible and legible on the front and both sides of the machine. Backgrounds of any colour can be used but please note:
Red Backgrounds –White Nos. Green Backgrounds – White Nos.
Yellow Backgrounds – Black Nos. Black Backgrounds – White Nos.
It is your responsibility to make sure your numbers are legible for the lap scoring team.

TYRES:
Any tyre type is allowed. Motocross tyres are recommended.

FORMAT:
This is a 3 hour Hare and Hounds type event to be run over 2 sessions of 1.5 hours each. To be deemed as a finisher you must pass the lap scoring after the chequred flag has gone out in both sessions. The winner will be rider who has completed the most number of laps over both of the sessions in their respective classes. In the event of a tie on the number of laps then the winner will be decided by the least amount of time taken to complete their lap totals. 

START:

First race will be at 11:00am which will be preceeded by a riders brief and sighting lap.
Riders will set off in groups from the start line according to their rider number. The starting times will be reversed for the 2nd session.

REFUELING:
All refueling must only take place in the designated area which will be adjacent to the start and will be clearly marked. Engines must be off during refueling. Strictly walking pace only in this area and VERY strictly no smoking by competitors or crew. Exclusion for any competitor or their crew member disobeying these rules. Only one crew member per rider allowed in this area. Children are strictly forbidden to enter the refueling/ working area.

LITTER:
Please use bags and bins provided and take home to dispose of. Please no litter bags to be left on site.

ENTRY FEES:

Entry fees are £40.00. An AMCA day licence is included at £5.00 per rider and this will be refunded to you on the production of a valid AMCA licence at sign on.

CANCELLATIONS:

In the unlikely event of the meeting being cancelled for any reason then you will receive a refund of your original payment less 10% for admin purposes, or you can have the full amount credited to our next event. 

ACCOMMODATION:
Camping is available at the venue on the Saturday evening. Admission to the site from 12pm Saturday (bring your own water etc.) There is a variety of shops local to the venue. There is a good range of accommodation available locally please visits the official UK tourist website. Visit the tourist website to see a range of attractions available locally if you wish to make a weekend of it and bring the family along.
