Harbour to Marina 15mile trail run

Newhaven Harbour to Brighton Marina and back!
Ideal for those training for the a Marathon or just wanting a nice scenic run.
Venue: Shakespeare Hall. Fort Road. (Near Newhaven recreation ground.)
Travel. Car-parking: There’s plenty of free car parking at the venue. 10 min walk from Newhaven Town train station. 8 min walk from town center if using the bus.
Registration: Registration is open from 08.00 until 08.50 in The Small Meeting Room within Shakespear Hall. This is where you will collect your race bag that contains your race numbers and safety pins (if required), bottle of water and 32Gi energy products. Please show us your TRA membership cards (if applicable) to confirm your eligibility for the discount received (£1 fee if you forget it.)
We encourage advanced entries (saves you a couple of £ and ensures you get a space.) We limit the event to 150 entries, so whatever spaces we have left will be sold on the day at £20.
Bag storage. Feel free to leave bags in the corner of this room using the tags provided.

Race numbers on your fronts so we can record your finish times.
This is a mainly 60% trail and 40% tarmac footpaths. Start heading over the Seahaven Coastal Trail East towards Brighton over the cliff top trails. There is a small amount on tarmac near Telscombe Cliffs water works and through Rottingdean. Turn around at the marina and head back West along the Esplande to Saltdean and retrace steps Telscombe Cliffs. Head along the Esplande to the end of Peacehaven, then up the many steps to rejoin the Seahaven Trail back to the start/finish. Full route narrative to follow this winter.
What not to expect:
Lots of marshals, signage, large crowds and fanfair!
What to expect:
A scenic route.
Water station in Saltdean (5 & 10 mile crossing point.)
Lead MTB out on course and a tail run will sweep the course.
First aid response.
A finalised route map and narrative available to download a month prior to the event.
4 hour cut off (we want to eat a Sunday roast at the pub around 1.30!)
What we suggest you take:
Mobile phone in case you need to call us in an emergency.
Light weight running jacket in case it rains and to carry gels etc.
Water bottle (we will give you one at the start too).
A print out the narrative and map (although it's not a hard route to follow.)
Cash in case you decide to take the coastal bus back!
On line route maps will be added here and on the events Facebook page shortly.
At the finish line collect a finishers medal then go inside to get a bottle of water and your bags, then head home.
