The Chilly Willy Halloween Trail Race is a two lap race. The total distance is approx. 4.8 miles and the race is held on the trails and woodland paths within the beautiful surroundings of Lochore Meadows Country Park.

The race starts on the wide grass area near the old steam train and heads towards the Willie Clarke Centre before looping back towards the start area. The route then takes you into the woods and onto a variety of twisty trails and paths. This section of the route will be muddy in places so we would recommend wearing trail shoes. At the far end of the woods you emerge onto a short road section before picking up the main trail along the northern edge of the loch and head past the Willie Clarke Centre to where the race started before doing it all again! After completing your second lap you will be directed to the finish line situated on the grass area near the old steam train.

The event is planned to have wave starts with 15 people in each wave. Start times will be planned according to pre-entries. Enough time will be planned between wave starts to ensure physical distancing. A starting list will be drawn up to inform entrants of where and when to wait for their wave start. This schedule will be available online and/or emailed to participants in advance of the day.

Toilets within the Willie Clarke Visitor Centre will be available but there will be a limited capacity at any one time and a queuing system will be in operation. Please be prepared for this. All attendees must use the hand sanitiser located at the toilets before entering and after exiting the toilets.

The race organiser is unable to provide any water or drinks. Entrants must bring their own hydration/nutrition. Please support the Lochside Cafe which will be serving hot & cold drinks, snacks & hot filled rolls from the outside hatch before and after the race.

Bib number pick-up outside the Willie Clarke Visitior Centre. Please keep 2 metres apart whilst waiting in the queue to collect your bib number. Medals will be handed out when you collect your bib number.
